I finally decided to get the spare tire out of the bed for good to create some space- bed measures 62" wide x 60" long.

i also started on headliner and used a layer of heat reflect- then 1/2" insulation and finally some grey synthetic felt material. It took out all the roof noise and makes for much nicer cruising. :)

nothing major- alot of tidying up.

i did make a steel tray and a separate cupholder which are real low vs armrest height so i can easily access behind seat area. (not sure why pic is upside down)

continued soundproofing and sealing up the b-pillar and rear bulkhead with some closed cell foam and dynamat type material- and continued the headliner material down the sides and rear. - found some of the orig. 55 door fabric clips and edging materials to hold it all inplace for a clean look. the material is a synthetic fleece type of material used on both headliner and bulkhead.

so true! the roof gives it that Landrover look - which i plan to remedy at some point with gutters and a bit more rounded rear- roof.

ive given into the rat-rod-ishness of it all - its always gonna be my ugly duckling - runt of the litter......
