Ditto...one of the great bargains in history, especially when they only cost $10. We're showing our age, Ron. (In more ways than one, at least at my end.)

On that subject, I've been buying the National parks and Federal Recreation annual pass for the past couple of years. It gets you into all the National Parks, and cost about $90. I also use it a lot where there's a fee to hike on certain trails. The first time we went to the North Rim, I remember it being pretty pricey just for the one day. Not sure how many times we're going to be using the North Rim entrance, but that fee could add up quick.

Edit: I just checked online. Looks like the park pass is $35.00 per vehicle and is good for 7 days.

I hate to hear that Craig, were gonna miss ya. I installed a set of trail gear 6 shooter knuckles and steering and have had a terrible experience with them. I sent them out today to be machined down so they will actually fit! Still pushing to leave on Wednesday I think I’ll get it done. Plan b is a 100 with zip ties and a pig grill see y’all there one way or another!

So sad to all who can't make the beauty pageant and mud bath.

Course I haven't made it yet so if my wife doesn't blow a head gasket we're good to go.
Here's the tickler, for our last anniversary my wife (Beverley) gave me a promise to join me on this excursion. The most she's ever been in the pig is four blocks to a restaurant. Although recently she did drive it 30 miles to take me to lunch for my birthday.

Anyhow this will be a new adventure for us.:bounce::rofl:

The most my wife has been in my pig was when she cranked it over while hit the starter with a hammer.

Megadoomer, paint that thing green and she'll be at PP'19. :)

Voodoo, you planning a slow route out again this year?

We're leaving Sat. 16th. Going straight Hwy.70 then taking Forest Service roads down through Utah until Bryce Canyon, working our way to Demotte on the 19th. I bought several books and maps, trying to get a little familiar with Evans picks and believe we're in for some great scenery.Look forward to seeing everybody.

It’s looking like I might need a roof rack!

Plan to leave GJ on the 18th and head south via Moab and Monument Valley, stopping somewhere along the way and arriving at DeMotte on the 19th. Will leave DeMotte on the following Saturday or Sunday, depending on how long everyone else sticks around, and make a loop out of the trip. Coming back via Bryce, etc., and ultimately I-70 north of Hanksville.
Could be persuaded to reverse the loop and tag along with Ron and Jeri if they want company, depending on how soon my pile of parts gets installed on the Frankencruiser. Still awaiting the rebuilt power steering box, which is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Radiator had to be re-cored so it's the wild card at this point, presumably later in the week. We'll be there...question is how early in the week. If need be, I can probably borrow a radiator from another local project Pig.

That sounds great to me. We'll keep the plans loose for now and see how it pans out. I'm not sure about timing on my end either. Our plan is to turn off 70 onto 72 and head to Loa, on the other side of town grabbing a FS road 154 and work down to FS140 over FS17 to 12 and Bryce. Hoping I get lost in the process! :)

Good luck with the repairs.
