Steve, want to trade a jeep for a 55.....just a thought
Not that I really want to get rid of it, it just sits there most of the time...kind of like your 55.

My 55 is staying put. Thanks for the offer. Plans include an ARB air locker in the front with full cromo axles, and a four speed Atlas after some more work on the FJC, trailer, and Jeep. With four projects going you can only do so much at once.

I won't be at the Parkway ride. Too much to do. I will be at the Parts Swap.

With 4 projects going I guess that is a good excuse. Do any of these projects currently run & drive? ;)

Well it doesn't mention Black Balsam or Ivestor Gap, so hopefully it won't be an issue, but thanks for the heads up Jay

I don't think bears can handle 40 mph winds ;)

those pics look great! count 1 more in, assuming stocker will make it.

Great!! A stocker can make it no problem, the only concern is what we call a little east coast pin stripping :hillbilly: the trails tends to be tight so you maybe gets some twigs rubbing down the body, but nothing that won't rub out

When are you planning on heading up? you might want to meet up with Marshall and follow him up if you haven't been to the area previously.

Look forward to meeting you

Gotta break in that paint sometime! I'll camp both nights but haven't been there before.

Look forward to meeting you too. Luke's first wheelin trip?

Trollhole, you taking the 40 or 80? Maybe I can follow you up or someone post up a meeting spot address.

Luke, may not quite be ready yet... not so sure all that boucing down the trail would be good for his soft head ;)

And we have actually have had a change of plans at the moment, because of the bear activity in the area we are not currently allowed to camp at the end of the 4wd trail as we have done in the past. We are looking into other spots deep in the woods near the park way, so this is a fluid situation at the moment. Hopefully the ban will be lifted in time for our trip next weekend, but if not we will have a plan B. But due to this I recomend getting in touch with Marshall and try to coordinate following him up.

All that said we are still going to do Lunch at Mt. Pisgah as planned and we will be do the trail ride down Ivestor Gap, so we can get our wheeling and scenery fix

will do!

I've got an old football helmet for Luke when he's ready!

Hopefully they lift the ban on camping. I'll pack my slingshot, just in case :hillbilly: And we'll put all the food in your tent.

Slingshot is a good idea.
I will have a long barrel 44mag projectile launcher just in case.

Is no one going up Friday night other than me?

We will be in the NC area starting Thursday night, trying to plan a little family outing into this one as well. Depending on the camping situation we may be in for Fri night. will keep an eye on the thread. We are in for Pisgah Inn on Sat for sure, might want to post a general time for that? Didnt we end up doing a brunch type deal last year?
