get your canvases protected

I dont think it was a UV thing with mine, mine was rolled up and perhaps sat in customs for a while, and when I got it I canvak'd it (or whatever that crap is that smelled so darned bad!!)

Just adds character...

I have been really busy I will try to get some pics of the hardware up this weekend. Stay tuned. Everything looks to be of a high quality. I am very satisfied. Yes, $1050 for canvas, bows, and shipping from Pakistan is a lot of money and very expensive. Land Cruiser ownership is not for everyone. THAT IS WHY THEY MAKE JEEPS! For cheapskates who don't want to pay for superior quality and will settle for inferior products. Jeep tops are a dime a dozen just take a look on your local craigslist. Best Tops look like crap on a Land Cruiser. IMHO. My Ehsan Top ROCKS!

I dion't think FARMAN33 payed much more than that for his Ehsan top, canvas only. Check with him he has a paki top thread on here somewhere. His arrived the same week as I got mine. He has posted pictures, it looks awesome.

Reals steel sells bows for $850? before shipping

500 for bows and 500 for canvas ... That's a deal

Group buys in the past saw even better deals here and there... Too bad those days are gone... It was a Long and painstaking process ... Year to year and a half wait for tops... Alex probably knows better but I believe the best ever was 8 months? Start of a group buy to his door step? Could have even been 6 months

Sorry folks i was basing my opinion on the fact that it is made in Pakistan and no in the US.
The labour rate in Pakistan and material rate is not that much. The same way it is not that much in China.

No harm in expressing my opinion is it ? It is a Forum after all open for discussion. I wasn't slagging Ehsan off. I mentioned it in order to have a further constructive discussion to try and find out if we could find a cheaper alternative.

And in response to myquesttoyota i might have had 67 post but shouldn't affect what i type or should it ? You are a classic example of judging book by its cover
There was another chap here on this thread who mentioned you can get the top cheaper in KSA or UAE.

Alana13, I realized after I posted that that I was being unfair and sounding like a sh*thead. Apologies, welcome to the forum. When I first got on the forum I had a habit of asking questions that were answered first with "do a search" followed by an answer. Those of us that are following these soft top threads have had it ingrained in us what the costs are and pine for the days we can afford a quality one. Again, sorry to be so snippy. This forum is the greatest source of knowledge imaginable. I still get spanked on occasion to do a search and have gotten much better at finding the right key words, it is your friend.

I'm thinking that when OCD gets it all together and wants to continue he will have more than enough to do as a side line for years to come. That along with a quality set of bows and we'll have a glut of hardtops sitting around because we'll all want cruisers that look as cool as Johnny's.
