I need to learn what it's going to take in time, money, aggravation and reward(s) to see if it's worth doing it again at the end.

You have to let me know what year your 40 is. What material you want, Vinyl or Canvas. What color you want (Grey Black,khaki or green) and what style your 40 is (Ambulance doors? tailgate? etc. ) I will then forward you the wire information you will need to wire in the payment.

The top and the bows cost US$700. In groups of 5 or more, the price comes to US$650 + reduced shipping costs. As you may have read on mud, we need some time to make the tops and bows as everything is hand made. I am now increasing the workforce and starting to keep a stock. Each set of bows takes 4-5 days to make and top takes the same. How many do you want to order? Post a thread on Mud if you want to organize a group. Let me know whatever more info you need.

I have initiated coordinating a test purchase order to the USA that is already in-progress. Intent is to streamline the ordering process while keeping cost down, and studying how much of, time it ends up consuming dealing with freighthandlers, customs, repackaging and forward-shipping within the USA, and how much it all ends up costing the buyers.

Sounds fine. The order is nearly complete and will take only till Monday. Packing will start and will take 3-5 days. I have contacted a packing company for this and will know what they have to offer on Saturday also. I have already asked for Air-freight costs for this so you can make a choice. We shipped the last shipment via air also. If you dont like the cost then we will go via sea.
I will take detailed pictures of everything and send them your way.

Cost me around $800 for top and bows...but that was the first ever group purchase back in 1999/2000...took almost a year from order to delivery.

The top now resides on someone elses 40...I never did install it.

I don't know what they run now-a-days...
