Good day for the classy 80

My cousin is trying to say inspect any flaws

The past few weeks have been busy with a new truck that will be shipped to a client in the USA soon. So last week we finally took it out and the wherherstrps paid off: super solid, reduced air sounds, and more. You never go wrong with new straps, especially if the truck is from Saudi Arabia and barn doors. Over here is the new overall strap for the barns, and you can see how thick it is because the barn tends to make more noise than the split gate. I replaced the small cushion on top and the bottom cushion on the door lock.

Here is the freshly painted bumper with its new dry plastics extensions

The Master Rateesh is installing the bumper and doing the final alignment.

DID I SHOW YOU THE BLACK MIRRORS!! MAN I LOOOOVE THEM

I dropped the new project at the shop, then I found I have some for this FJ80. This Royal Kush 100 will be refreshed. Buying from BaT is fun, but you don't know wth is under there or how to fix it cheaply. We fix it cheaply and professionally before shipping, "YES, in dirty shops that make your jeans black.

I took the 80 to perform a radiator/heater flush so I can install the new radiator, pump, etc., on a clean block. SORTA.

Yeah It was s***!!
1763978725441.webp

While all this was happening, my hands itched to unplug the AC fan because it was making noise, so maybe something inside, or replace it, and ooh booi!
I was happy to find the rock that I have no clue how it got here.
1763978723121.webp

Then I decided to reach near the evaporator to feel if there are more and, xuck, my fingers were playing with mice s*** :( This is nothing to what was inside. All dry and setting for a loooong time. So I decided not to put it together and went back home to clean it myself.

I usually don't do any work myself, but when it comes to something like that, then I have to do it myself so I can make sure it is what I want. I actually learned that Toyota made the evaporator housing 75% easier to clean.

Over here, you can see what I found when I cracked the housing open. I vacuumed the mice s*** and other stuff using Mom's vacuum, and it was a lo! "she will be mad if she knows about this s***". I reached the top of the evaporator to take down all the plastic bags.

1763979347756.webp

Then I felt I had to see inside and xuck it was full of pee. So went with the extra cleaning plan using the beautiful Mult-D product mixed with water, and I sprayed it all around the housing and the evaporator.

After that was the power-wash 🔫🔫🔫🔫 , I covered the carpet to capture as much water as I could; the rest went down the drain hose.

1763979399915.webp

Put all together and I am glad I did! So happy that the AC is working with no smell or noise.

1763979841093.webp

All this work was using the Toyota scrow driver only.

Toyota kept making some part numbers for 3F that are for compatible with FJ7x FJ62 and fits FJ80 but not the same. one of them is the beautiful to look at heater/cooler pipe lines.

In FJ80, 87208 “87209-60130” came together as pipe lines and the front hoses that connect to water housing.

1764265271144.webp

The pipe came in black instead of zinced metal and with no outlet for the rear heater like the 90K pipe.

1764265532013.webp

Over here is a new 87208-90K06 by itself with no hoses. You have to get another two hoses that are 90K as well.

1764265532150.webp

here is the FJ62/FJ7X rear heater outlet that is not in the FJ80 part. So the plan is to powder coat this 90K and use toyota plug and move on. UNLESS if someone shows up here the OG black pipe.

More parts showed up

There was a lot of oil around the steering pump but after washing it there is no leaks. however, a new one is in to just keep it mostly new.

A fresh gasket kit so we can use what we want of it, but differently, I'm not unplugging the head. The head sounds nice, and it is still powerful. I need to make some decisions here on pan gasket and the timing cover gasket. I HATE THEM.

This week was slow with another project, so I tried to work on the FJ80 again.

First thing, I found those lovely, brand-new two exhaust pieces. The current ones are so clean, but as I said, I hated the welds in them. The front piece is clean but needs to be washed.

Tanks are out to replace all parts found in the market.

However, it will be a big haram if I install with all this dust, so we power-washed it. We used Mult-D product mixed with water, and I sprayed it all around, then brushed it.

Ready to get the new parts

I like that idea. The US people have bad thoughts of 3Fs because all of ours came with s***ty automatics. I think you can maximize your sale with a well documented 1fzFE swap.

If it’s possible a 1FZ- FE coil pack engine would be the ultimate ! 😁
I mean if you’re going to swap it may as well do the best 1FZ right and you seem to be the Man for procuring the best parts.

To start this job, I need to make a parts list, which will be picked up soon. The truck will be engineless tomorrow.
I already have a clean engine that has low mileage, but I want to refurbish it for my fellow Americans
