to document my thoughts:
I offered a client to add a spare carrier to his GXR but he didn’t like the idea, So im going to get this used door and make the G with a proper spare carrier.

The door is a main component to make this little project successful

Though for future buyer:
All components is going to be brand new except the door and the bracket. Unfortunately, it is hard to find a new spare carrier door nowadays. If i find a new bracket ill get it.

Another project that I need to tackle is the power steering tube/hose route; the setup in the FZJ80 got two eras, 08/1992 - 03/1997 and 04/1997 and up.
I am going with early one unless I dont find it.

This is the current setup for FJ80:

Screenshot 2026-06-19 at 1.35.30 AM.webp

And I need to get this from the FZJ80 catalog:

Screenshot 2026-06-19 at 1.35.44 AM.webp

So I need the following parts:
COOLER ASSY, OIL
44420-60220

HOSE, PRESSURE FEED
44411-60430

HOSE, OIL RESERVOIR TO PUMP, NO.1
44348-60170

TUBE, RETURN (FOR STEERING GEAR OUTLET)
44416-60310

Though for future buyer:
Ill do my best to find those parts new. I am pretty sure I am going to find the pressure feed hose, but not sure about the cooler. Will see, sir.

One more project to tackle is the exhaust/muffler work, I am hoping the FJ80 frame got holes for the FZJ pracket. Ill make the work as OEM as I can.

This is the current setup for FJ80:

and this is what I shoud look for:

Though for future buyer:
Sir, it is in my nature to see brand new pipes, I love them, I wash polish them, I look at my face in them. Ill do my super best to find them here especially the central one.

If you find the center section and there’s more than you need I would love to buy one 😊

As of today, I found out a new place in hill for people calling the G as peasant spec.

however today was a good day with listening to Nolen; this the the 3F ps hoses. All out now. Also, I found the part number: 44420-60201 for the 1FZ.

The radiator is going to be denso for now but yeah this brand new fj80’s radiator is out too. sad.

Right now, the truck is at the shop to be swapped; however, we are working on the decision on the tank system.
  • GCC FZJ80, carb, came with two gas tanks that work separately; when you click, you basically allow the sub tank to go directly to the pump.
  • GCC FZJ80, EFI, came with one electronic pump in the main and a low-pressure pump to move from sub to main. I don't like that.
This is the low-pressure pump that moves gas to the main tank:

  • BUT the GCC FZJ100 came with two pumps in each tank, and that is what I want unless the solution is too complex. "I'll do my best"
The plan is to gut out an FZJ100 line to match what I am after.

alright !! This time, the shop is much cleaner.

Here is the engine getting prepped before the swap. My friend has a cleaning shop, but I don’t go to him because he is about a 2-hour drive away.

enjoy:

Here is our part stash, there is no reason to use aftermarket, it is Saudi and we got plenty like rice.

I have avoided this thread because my wife will kill me if I buy another Meshal/Nolan (“Melan”?) truck. She thinks two is enough.
But if I did, this would be the truck to buy.
That said, there is room at the casa.

A couple possibilities:

Or try Dave Stedman:

Ha, I found it at CruiserParts!! He got 11. I told him I want them all. He said.
