What are people doing for onboard air in the Land Cruiser? I'd like to permanently mount an ARB somewhere, but not sure where that would be. In the interim, is there a compressor that can plug into the inverter?
On another forum @cruiseroutfit mentioned they may be releasing an onboard kit through the factory accessories soon. I’ll also be curious how quickly Terrain Tamer develops parts for the platform now that they will have a US warehouse thanks to @orangefj45.

Get a M18 Milwaukee inflator.

I think I'd be a lot more warm to the idea of a battery-powered air compressor if they did not have the built in air hose. I already have the hoses and fittings that I like to use, and would much prefer just a hose attachment.

Milwaukee also makes a battery-powered air compressor that has the attachment I am looking for, but that's pretty big and a whole lot of overkill.

I have both. The air attachment one is way too heavy and big.

If you've visited our Lexus booth at the Overland Expo's over the past year (or plans to attend Overland Expo East next month), you've had the opportunity to see one.

Is anybody else's rear diff locker incredibly slow/hard to get to engage?

I know that the manual says to make sure that wheels are fully stopped before engaging, but mine will not engage if I stay stopped. Have tried multiple times, and usually is 20+ yards of idling forward, doing small s turns, before it will actually engage and lock.

Just want to see if others are having the same experience.

That's typically how mine works as well. My FJ Cruiser is the same way.

Mine is 50/50. Sometimes it locks right away. Sometimes I have to drive a foot or two. Same for disengage. In no cases do I have to move more than a couple feet.

Very common with Toyota Elockers.
I was hoping it would be faster engagement with the new locker mechanism. On my old 4runner, it was always a pain to get the rear locked unless you could plan it out in advance on nice level ground (rare). Meanwhile, the ARB front would quickly lock and unlock even under stress.

That was kind of my thought, dont want to leave it locked all the time when offroad, but at the same time becomes a 'if this is impossible to get to lock when I need it, kind of have to' situation.

Even just playing with it in a gravel lot for the first time was a hassle as by the time it locked, I was at the other end of the lot, and had to pull a u turn to head the other way, but now the rear diff was locked lmfao

Anyone else had what appears to be wax coming out of your hood? Driver side was worse and dripping down on the head light, but didn't get a picture before wiping it off.

I know my 100 took forever to lockup. My 250 is considerably faster. I have actuated it several times and each time it gets a little faster. I expect it is as fast as it will ever get.

After salivating over LCs for years, finally pulled the trigger on my 1st LC about 3 weeks ago - “white” 1958 - and have been loving it. Getting ready to do “break in” oil change in about another 100 miles. Haven’t seen much talk on using the K&N oil filter but bought one, along with a few of the Toyota filters. Anyone seen any issues with K&N on the LC? They are what Ive primarily used in my other vehicles.

My only gripe is the seat angle, which I’ve seen being discussed elsewhere with Toyota vehicles. I did find: Truck Interior Accessories, Car Accessories | Desert Does It - https://desertdoesit.com/ has seat risers to raise the front of the seat so it doesn’t feel like you’re going to slide off the front. Just ordered today so will see how it goes. A little sketch modifying the seat connection but looks pretty simple so hopefully doesn’t result in me flying through the windshield.

Plan to add a roof rack as the first real mod, hoping ARB comes out with a cage rack soon, I prefer the more classic look vice the more sleek variants available now.

I don't know about K&N's automotive filters, but their motorcycle filters are notorious for failures and are banned by most racing organizations.

Toyota's oil filter are excellent and very cheap, no reason to use anything else. Just order them online 5-10 at a time from a discount Toyota parts dept.

I wouldn't use the K&N filter. Toyota is one of the manufacturers where you'd have to see some hard science to go with any part other than OEM.
