Nice i like that idea of the 4runner brake upgrade better then with the spacers. What rotors are those? I don't know of any 5 lug 4runners.
Rotors are from a 200 series Landcruiser
Calipers are 5th gen 4runner

Then came some chop time!

Radius snorkel
This is the long version, originally on the old rig that was installed after the arb style. So the long covers most of the holes. I would use the short on a fresh install

Simon made an adapter to use the oem filter housing. I love that's it's already a cyclone system and ejects dirt.

Seams are taped with ac ducting tape.

I didn't take enough pictures of the @Delta VS 4runner brake upgrade

Hubs are machined, rotors are drill for 6 lug. Rotors now can be removed easily as it slips over the outside of the hub.

Bigger calipers and rotors, also swapped in a tundra mc. Brakes feel better then ever.

Best part is the brakes before would not hold well while crawling and on a steep decline. This was better on the Rubicon trip that came later.

Immediately after rollbuild was overland expo pnw

Thats mr pnw!

That game of beer darts was getting rowdy!

Added some nut huggers from @Delta VS
So I can worry less about them.

Glad these are available again

Fixed the torn holes in the splash guards with a grommet kit. Thanks for the idea Simon.

Got lazy and ordered a celsior steering wheel from Japan on ebay. It's Japan's version of a LS400 i think it's pretty cool. Matches my celsior visors. Color is not a perfect match.

I needed some speaker rings to space out the speakers a little to clear the window.

Removed the rear heater assembly.
It was already blocked off in the front. So I just needed to pull the unit and save a little weight.

Block off plates make this easy, available from @Delta VS

The scheelman seats also meant that I didn't need to take the seat out.

I gave it a good try and didn't get it.

I think i needed to hit it harder, but i wanna crawl it.

Smashed a rear brake line at the dam

Terrible place for it really.

Lee after smashing that line I have it routed up and round out of harms way as seen in the picture. I also made a skid for the emergency brake cable after smashing the cable a few times.
About the soup bowl IMO it's all about the line not hitting it harder. I crawled it both times I tried it.

One day I'll get soup bowl!

I do plan on moving the brake line.. I have another fix for the ebrake cable.

Cables in the sunroof were not working anymore.

So i pulled it out

Replaced with a peice of acrylic as a plug.

I am still looking for the best way to seal it.
This gasket didn't work great.

Its now much quieter down the freeway. I added a solar panel above and removed alot of the suction at high speed.

Then I added the rear view mirror mount from @Delta VS to mount the fancy camera mirror to. Definitely helps with visibility.

20240824_095239.webp

Also cleaned up the ram mount and made a big for installing. Holes need to go through the liner to access existing threads in the body. Pretty sure this works on the older chassis too. Sent one out for testing.

Mounted a Ram ball in the seat belt threads. Had to have a special part made. With that I added the @Delta VS phone charger. I need a place to have my phone at camp also charge while I sleep in the back.

Your setup looks great. Which mirror camera did you go with? I’d love to see better when backing !

Installed a replacement panel cover for the rear. Works the same as oem just cooler.

Trying a lipo starter battery 40 ah..

Also put in this solar panel that nests perfectly into the @Delta VS roof rack this will keep the battery topped off while i run the fridge all day and night.
