Thanks for the info Lumpy. I ordered the twin stick from them today.

This morning I fabbed new motor mounts. The motor will be going in next week.
A couple of photos of the mounts.

Cam,

I appreciate the comments.

Let me get these mounts installed, and if everything works out fine, I can make a set for you. I am not one to make parts for other people, it's all I can do to make parts for myself!!!

This afternoon I got the motor sitting back in the frame rails. I have about 3" between the fan and pulleys, and 1 1/2" between the firewall and the pass. side head. Tomorrow I will be welding the motor mounts to the frame and fabbing a new cross member/transmission mount. Here are a few pics of todays progress.

Today, I made my trans mount and welded in the motor mounts. The trans mounts I made out of 1 1/2" tubing, 3/16" plate and a new isolator from Energy Suspension. The pics tell the story better than I can, so here you go......

Thanks, but between work and the kids, I have not been able to get much done lately. I am hoping to get back at it next week. I still need to mount up the t-case, trim the floor, and fab a new trans cover. At that point it can be disassembled and the body and frame can be sand blasted.

Well I finally get some time in the garage on the cruiser. Everything was going great until I tried using the angle grinder. As I am trying to get the bleeding to stop, I snapped a pic of my finger I managed to get between the wheel and the guard. It is amazing how fast it tore through my flesh down to the cartilage!!!
In my best Napolean Dynamite voice" It hurts real bad" :crybaby:

hope the finger gets better soon, or at least hope that it doesn't stop you from workin on the cruiser or doin anything else (like your real job)

Ouch....take care of that finger!!!

....Enjoying your build up!

Ouch, looks like it could have been worse, glad it didn't go any deeper.

I've been there, I got the side of my hand though, using a 7" grinder, being stupid with no gloves, still can't figure out how I managed to hit it where I did, didn't even know I did it until I looked down and there was was a nice u shape chunk of flesh missing from my hand, it didn't even bleed for about 20 minutes, the grinding wheel cauterized it. A trip to the doctor and 6 stitches later, it healed up surprisingly well.
