I know when it comes to baseball they are most likely the team in ONSC. I grew up hating them in the 90s for how they always knocked the dodgers out of the playoffs. But they beat us fair and square and really i'd cheer for Stalin over the TrAsthros

Will toyota ever care or bring a competitor to gladiator/ wrangler/ bronco to the usa?

Not a 4runner or taco, like a modern 70 series type truck with multiple configurations available.

This extended gladiator is pretty cool.

I'd love an FJ40 reboot to replace the 300 series in the wake of it's absence from the U.S market, but the bloat of the 4Runner range makes that unlikely. The market is hot for boxy retro off-roaders but I doubt that Toyota will follow the trend. It's a shame the 4Runner is so good at this market segment because the marquee just isn't as cool as the Land Cruiser in my eyes.

If it were up to me, I'd downgrade the 4Runner to compete with the Ford Maverick, add a replacement Land Cruiser to compete in the Bronco/Defender/Wrangler segment and ditch the Sequoia all together. All the luxury chasers and/or street only SUVs would go to Lexus.

The new defender missed the mark too even thou they are all over raleigh.

I like that idea of competing with big bronco and jeep wrangler. 70 series type that can come in all configs, troopy, 2 door convertible, 2 door pick up, 4 door pick up, 4 door suv.

I did read somewhere the new 4runner and taco will share the ROW hilux platform, just like the new tundra uses a lot of the 300 platform.

Those and dolphins come up for sale quite a bit about here. I test drove a few when I first moved but there is just no power without a motor swap. It made the 3fe 80 on 38s seem fast.

I got the privilege of having @JohnVee and his Grand Father in Law (corrected, cause John's not THAT old ) stop by Belle Johnson Park for a little while this afternoon to watch us do some sailboat racing. Willard is a very nice guy, and I wish I could have spent more time talking, and less time racing. Anyone that wears a military service hat, much less a WWII Veteran's hat has my utmost respect. Was truly the highlight of my day.

Actually… grandfather in law. He’ll be 99 next weekend. Just how old do you think I am, Steve?!?!?

For a guy who was sent home from the hospital, with double pneumonia, to die 3 years ago then outlived hospice, he’s doing pretty well. Continues to travel and add speaking dates across the country about the War. He’s around any time you wanna spend the time. Just don’t tell him that a LC or LX is a Toyota…he still holds a bit of a grudge against them…
