I finally found a screw on funnel at my local auto parts store that works great. :bang:

Can you tell us more about this funnel? Brand? Pics?

This would be useful for water in the water can too I imagine.

would anyone be kind enough to get a picture or report what codes were used for the plastic. It's typically a triangle with a code w/in it. These look great but the bpa (as noted above) concern makes me want to be somewhat cautious.

Thanks for the heads up on these - just ordered two...

Hey I ordered 8 of them and got them quickly. Great deal Thanks for the info.
My Parents and Sister wanted some for their emergency/disaster kit.
If there is a real disaster back in the States I will try to survive on beer. I will save the water for the more needy.

they raised the price to 16.99 so 3 of them is 50.97 yes free shipping!!! so 3 are on the way to me too!!!:p
That is a slight raise over just a few weeks ago. I picked up a set of 6 for $97ish. These are made by LC Industries, not Scepter. They shipped in three boxes, 3, 2, and 1 per box respectively. They must not cost them much to ship.

Hey thisilldefend, can you buy scepter MFCs since you're in the military?

Just got my shipment from LCI today. :)
They look and feel just like the ones I used to drop when full from 7-8 ft up(back of dump truck) while playing Army. I did manage to burst a few, but damn those things were/are strong.

Is 10psi a pressure to expect in the real world?... heat from the sun? altitude?
The military standard allows for transport by air in a non pressurized cargo hold. That is so they can airlift fuel to troops.

These are still available at this price by the way...

Sweet! I hadn't heard about these bags yet. Got my cans from tltaylor22 a few months back and have been loving them. Had one standing on its side loosely packed in the pack of my runner at cruise moab and it never leaked a drop of water til I opened it up. :D

Just ordered up a couple of those bags now--can't wait!

Sweet! I hadn't heard about these bags yet....

Just curious what the usefulness of these is... it seems that they might slow the heating or cooling of the water in the can somewhat but eventually the contents will get hot/cold anyway.

Fill it with ice & water at 6am and head out for a day in the summer... will these bags really make any significant difference 4-5 or 7-8 hours later? I think of these cans as longer term water sources rather than day-use. I'm wondering what others think...

I've been wondering the same thing. I could see em making a difference over a day or two, but not longer. If they have a shoulder strap that could make it easier to carry.

Ordered mine today. Thnx man, Vince

Since the jumped the price quite a bit....and they have a minimum $50 order...did anyone find a good item to bump me from $49.98 to over $50?
besides ordering a 3rd can:bang:

looks like they increased the price to $24.99 now

You can order a replacement cap for $5.99... then you can experiment with the spigot solutions from the other thread!
