Where else could you find a radiator for a 1939 Farmall tractor? Or somebody who knew what the core was when I walked in with it, and was willing to fix my junk if the replacement wasn't so reasonable. They also fixed my 4Runner radiator once and for all when others couldn't.

I also do the following on all series LC's:

1. Front axle jobs (prices negotiable/parts must be bought from American Toyota). Truck drop off on Friday. Pick up on Sunday. Rear axle jobs: Drop off on Friday, pick up on Saturday afternoon.

2. Tune ups (prices negotiable/parts must be bought from American Toyota)

3. Lift kit installs/suspension work (prices negotiable).

4. Brake jobs (disc brakes only): prices negotiable/parts must be bought from American Toyota).

Differential work

U-Joints, Inc

Driveshaft mods, balance, UJ balance

Ali, U-Joints also does driveshafts. There is another place I've used, but would recommend U-Joints over them.

Another possible category is springs and suspension. I'm thinking here about McBrides, but I haven't used them in years.

Jim's has had GREAT service, including when they accidentally damaged my oil filter (and I had the entire stock of spares in the state). Jim actually gave me his Jeep to drive home so that I could bring back a filter once they realized they couldn't source them from anywhere but our shop. Excellent prices too, IMHO.

Cables/Shackles: IMSCO. Also a distributor for Kroil.

I'll add that Start Shop dealt with the 3B starter and alternator quickly, without complaint about their rarity. Haven't gotten to use them yet, but they look great, and they have done good work on the power wagons.

4. Brake jobs (disc brakes only):

What, no love for drum brakes? Your new truck has drums in the rear. My Hundy has drums and discs on the same axle.

Agreed! They are great, when I was in school they let me use the press multiple times for rebuilding my transmission on the 93 4Runner and all for a case of Jim's favorite beer! Plus Jim ran my sliders through the pipe binder for a 6-pack:grinpimp:

Mor_Co Batteries:
1910 First St. NW, Albuquerque
247-3434

Never bought batteries from these guys, but they've made up big cables, #2, #4, while I waited. Quick and very reasonable. Popped the hood, showed them what I wanted and they did the rest.

Another option for batteries. The City has a contract with:

TnT Distributing
8325 Corona Loop NE
822-1422

Our experience with them so far as been very good.

Anyone know of a place that does walnut shell media blasting?

Anyone know of a place that does walnut shell media blasting?

I think Kaehr does. Charlie Best (Coating Solutions?) did too I think, but he got sick and couldn't blast the rest of our 40, not sure if he's back yet or not.

Dan

Stainless? No clue. Any of the autobox stores carry the regular stuff. Did you try NAPA?
