1978 FJ40 LandCruiser For Sale - Decent Land Cruiser - $6600

I'm reluctantly selling my Dune Beige 40. I need to clear the yard and the better stuff always seems to move the fastest.

I'm asking $6750 on Craigslist as is as shown in the pix with the bikini. If you are a YT member I will also add the hardtop and rear ambulance doors and let it go for $6600. That's a big plus and they are in very good condition. I also have some other tire/wheel options and I'm open to deleting the winch.

If you're looking for a solid 40, this is the one. Runs like it should with plenty of power, very good compression and doesn't smoke. I have had it at the FG more than once and it was in the centerfold of the Toyota Trails Magazine back in '08, so many of you have seen it up close and personal.

Our YT Prez took it for a test drive last month and is hoping no one will buy it before he gets back from Newfoundland. I owe him a favor, so he gets first refusal and a bit of a discount. You can PM him if you want to know his opinion about the truck. Unfortunately, I really need $$$ now and need to clear some space.

I need a front 8" differential for a solid axle truck with 4:10's. On the other hand, I'd consider lower ratios fro both or either end if the price is right.

Front diff no longer needed, but I would consider a spare front axle assembly and/or lower gears for both ends.

I have an early 2F engine for free if anybody wants it. It's just the block and head with the crank, rods, pistons still in it. I pulled the head and the cylinders look great. No scoring or ridges. I haven't pulled a bearing cap yet, but this thing looks like you could just rering and bearing it and toss it back together.

Anyways, it's taking up valuable space in the garage and I need it gone.

He needs;
A) 2 thirds (is the rear the same as a 60?
B) 2 axles to buy or maybe partial trade towards his elocker axles
Do all 80's have 4:10 gears?
