Someday I'll have a fog horn and something that plays all my favorite 80s TV show theme songs hooked up as a horn.

Free to good home:

FJ62 AC parts (all used) condensor, evaporator (has leak, may be able to solder and fix), dryer, expansion valve

FJ62 fan clutch - bad, read on MUD that it can be refurbished.

I have a airfilter since I replaced mine to K&N, it's about 350 miles old

I suggest pulling out the K&N and returning to a paper filter, preferably Wix.

Still have a free (maybe a six pack or something) 74 F.5 engine in the garage if anyone wants it or knows anyone looking .

Also have a 1972 fj40 hard top that I am putting feelers out to sell. Fixed the rust all around the top and have brand new headliner uninstalled to go with it. Contact with offers/pictures/or to take a look

Because K&N filters do not filter as well as a paper element.

Nailed it. K&N likes to tout increased air flow (thus hp) you get with their filters. Extra flow does happen but at the expense of clean air. If there is one thing our classic motors can't handle it's dirty air.

The guys running late model dirt tracks (which is sponsored by k&n), run R2C filters rather than k&N on their $30k motors.

I run an R2C filter on Moonshine, but it's too small. High quality stuff and I love that the paper element is cleanable!

Rice and Johnny are both correct on K/N's. Add to it for computer controlled cars is that the oil from them can and will over time foul up a Mass Air Flow sensor and other sensors.

There are much better dry filters out there that filter and flow better than a K/N.

I have seen that in some applications the K&N actually lost horsepower as compared to a regular paper filter. Don't feel too bad. I have a K&N on my 60...but only because it was put on there by a PO and I just haven't gotten around to replacing it. I did clean and oil it for the time being though.

my burban came with one... I plan on re-oiling it and selling it. Since its the regular large round air cleaner one there are lots or drag racers that may want it from me. I swapped in a wix filter and will eventually make a custom air cleaner using a donaldson filter
