There I also a semi built 80 here in town ~6000

That's it. Haven't seen it recently. I believe it's same one I used to see many years ago over off spring garden st by uncg. People used to accuse me of being downtown when I wasn't and I finally figured it out one day

Nice to be in an '80, but yours is a whole different animal than the '92. I'm not sure I want to go back to a 3FE/A440.

He should ask more for the rare v6

I forwarded to a friend though.

Know of any reason why he's selling so soon if he just aquired?

Going to look at the Charlotte (Southpark) one today at 11:00. If anybody wants particulars, let me know. It is definitely not locked from what he's telling me.

I have a customer that is looking for a 60 or 62 that the body and interior is in good shape. Not interested in the rest as he only needs the body. Anyone know of a 60/62 with blown motor trans etc? I'd prefer not to take apart a good running truck.

I posted these earlier, but they're off the 44 now.
Thanks to @forrest5000 for suffering through to mud ship the splits.

For Sale: Turn-key Lincoln SP-200 MIG welder with gas. ONSC Members: $900

More pictures to follow so consider this a preliminary posting.

This is a one owner unit with (I'm not kidding) no more than a couple hours of actual trigger time. It would still be on its first bottle if someone (me) hadn't left a valve on for a couple weeks.

If you want to be able to handle big jobs that the buzz box can't or you hate waiting because the duty cycle on your little guy is 20% @ 40 amps (or worse), here is a way to get big power without too much coin. This welder has a 60% duty cycle at 200 Amps (or 100% @ 150 Amps)

What you get:
Welder, almost full 30 pound spool (maybe 45, I can't recall) of 0.035 wire, 160 CuFt tank with Co2/Argon mix, regulator with hose, gun.

What you need:
A lot of room. This unit is both large and heavy.
220 @ 50 Amps outlet.

So I met the guy and looked at this 80. He's firm on $4K. Seems to run good. Under hood looks fine. Not locked. HG was done by Toyota Techs in Ft. Mill a while back as preventative maintenance. ABS light is on. Supposedly a sensor issue that Toyota Techs caused and are willing to correct. AC blows cold. Tires are okay. Interior is a 7-8/10 Cloth seats look surprisingly good and have no tears. Dash is cracked. Carpet is dirty. Sunroof has leaked. Exterior is just fair. No rust. Mashed in a bit a fuel filler area and under the grille. PS rear fender flare is fubared and partially missing. Antenna mast is broken. Plenty of scratches, dents and sun fade. Hood and PS front fender have been painted at some point. Driver side mirror hanging on with duct tape. Looks to be a pretty solid cruiser with some life left in it if you can get past the bumps and bruises and the fact that it isn't locked. I have pics if anyone is interested. The owner seems to be a great guy. Young dude. Getting married soon. Works at Jesse Browns. Fly fishing guide on the weekends. I couldn't stop drooling over the red 62 in the lot owned by one of the other Jesse Brown employees. It has been mentioned plenty of times in the "Spotted" thread.

^^
But there's no need to get it "right" since it's 22 years old unless you're looking for perfect and stock (and you're looking at the wrong truck, if so). Make it reliable with fluids, brakes and a new mirror (2 of those should be done to anything you buy). Remove and clean the interior. Screw the dings and dents. Cracked dash? I bet half the people who've had to remove theirs more than once have cracked theirs. Mine came that way and I couldn't care less - makes it that much easier to remove every time I need to. Rust free? Hell yeah; that's huge. Cosmetic stuff doesn't matter unless you want to "collect" it instead of drive it. This is probably a perfect starting platform for a lot of people. Just what kind of trucks are you finding for $4k that you think this one is nuts? Your estimate of another $4k to get it right must assume that it's either not drivable as is or you would repaint it.

A 1993 vehicle that's stock and proven to be not possibly 'neglected' is gonna cost a lot more than this one. But there'll be a buyer for that, too, regardless of the price, and it'll probably be worth it.
