on one hand it sucks to have stock worn out springs and bushings and on the other it sucks to have too much lift and then want to run a bigger tire. 25 years ago I put emu heavy on my FJ60 and did not listen to a friend who said to stick to a...
I liked the 250 a lot more than I thought I would. Drove it for about a year. Reminded me size wise of my Fj60. My knee did not like the legroom. It was a great Cruiser, in my opinion better than the LX600. I still prefer the 200 overall.
He's only 50! He Will retire at 52 - could retire now but wants to hang on for a while. I had a 2021 200 series and it's one of the only vehicles I've ever sold and regret selling. I was able to sell it for a lot more than it cost new and I...
most of the time I'd agree with that but the body is not super rusty - he bought it new and has meticulously maintained it. Runs like new. I can see how you would not want it hogging up a bay though - does not make good business sense. He...
Yes frame swaps are better, but that's not always an option for people. I think its agreed that frame repair parts aren't the end all be all solution. But for a guy who doesn't have the means to do a complete drivetrain/body swap, they are the...
Ryan, I agree but my buddy is a cowboy. Army 11B guy with very little fear for his safety. That frame is awesome dosman - thanks. Ryan, would you swap the frame or too busy?
We worked on a truck that ORI butchered, but that was years ago and didn't involve frame repair. Judging by the pics, that frame is waaaaaaaaaay too far gone to put any money in to fixing. He'll be chasing issues forever.
I've also used ORI for wheels and alignment, looking in there shop it seems like they got their stuff together and they've always treated me good. Right off 7 close to 81.
Update - he has gotten a second wind and decided that since he loves this truck and bought it new that he wants to fix it. I found a whole bunch of frame repair kits today looking online and a reference to a shop in Winchester va called off...
He sent me pics after banging on it with a hammer and it's a total loss. He was surprised how bad it was. Thanks for you help guys.
he is going to sell it as a parts truck. He bought it new and drives it daily and will miss it.
BK it's not that bad but sadly pretty rusty. He just barely missed the frame recall. Runs great. My buddy is in his early 50's and about to retire. UPS driver. Already had the back section fixed by a guy who is now retired. He just needs...
Fellas, I hope that you are doing well. It's been a few years - like ten.
A friend of mine lives out past Winchester and has a 2002 4Runner that he daily drives. Has a silver dollar sized rust hole in the frame. Anyone in the Winchester to...
