I am still scraping out sand from the gulches! I got about 4 pounds out of the winch plate/radiator today...insane!!

hmm, does that mean I have to come up with something for Sept? I think I fixed everything I was whining about already :)

I am sure something else will come up by then!

You can resign it or pass it to someone else in more need if you'd like or just step to the back of the line. But I'm pretty sure you can break something before then.

I have a t-case rear output seal that started leaking when I wrote that. I am going to shut up now :)

I knew youd be wanting your name in the hat. I think you actually won Nov but I moved the others forward so you'd have a chance to get back and get it together,

yep it will be fix the death wobble on the FJ62 time :grinpimp:
.............I think I need to reset the caster up front

Brian won July but he doesnt get on a ton and might not need it. We might just need to past his onto someone who can jump into it really soon and move Brian to another month.

I can do one next weekend and get my t-case rebuilt...might even be willing to do the rear rotors and e-brake rebuild. :)

- rear t-case extension needs removal, pull viscous coupler, output shaft, seals, bearing, race, etc and replace the race, bearing, and seal, reassemble.
- rear rotors need replacing
- rear e-brake needs new shoes and adjusting

Not a lot, but item one is a fairly intense activity.

Upside is I have almost all the parts now, will be doing it regardless, and have a garage that I can fit the truck and about 14 people in...can even setup tents, air matresses, etc in the garage and stay cool.

If I am so named for HAMOM it would be cool. Might even be able to throw in the pinion seal for eventhough at the same time...

I believe Heather needs FJC e-brake clean and adjust as well? Can toss that in. I can have three trucks in the garage at once.

fine, no soup for you.

Last thing on my list is to get some new seats. Would need to fab in something to mount the shoulder belts (don't have any today which means if I wreck on the highway, that's probably my last ride). I've looked at Cobrea in the past but haven't thought a lot about it recently.

Open to any ideas people have. I need something to tie the shoulder belts to. Tying the belts to the rollcage and the seats to the body concerns me a little (in case they go two different directions) but not sure what options there are. Seems that's what people do. Whatever I do, I would like to keep access from the front to the back somewhat open... my kid loves to ride.

I can either give up my spot if someone needs it, or do this in Feb or later.

December HAMOM

Here is my plan:

1. Cook/Smoke lots of good food and chill down cheap beer. I'm thinking Pintos, Cornbread, ribs, and pulled Q.

2. Either do an Axle Rebuild on my 62 OR install fun parts like ARB winch bar, SROR sliders, OME Dakkar, and/or SROR rear bumper.

3. This will be done in my double garage, which is enclosed and can be heated. Air tools in place. Fire pit down by the creek for those wishing just to make it an outing.

I am in for January.......... should have the 40 off the road by then starting the resto.

What I will have on the docket for HAMOM:
1. Front axle rebuild
2. Rear axle rebuild
3. t-case rebuild

I don't have the budget for BBQ, but how about cheap burgers, rotel, and PBR :D

I don't need anything...I keep fixing it all on my own :)

Might need a HAMOM if i decide to rebuild the top end of my engine.

OK, my body work is as slow as snot, but I am sure I can push them to be ready for November. The only thing is I don't know when in November we could do it. I'll call the shop tomorrow for an ETA and light a fire under their collective asses. Once I talk to them, I can say better how things are looking.

If November works, then we'll be reassembling a piggy...that includes:

1) suspension
2) Fuel system
3) putting all the crap I took off...back on (windows, heaters, weather stripping, etc.)

And I will be able to wrench some...but I gotta take it kinda easy with the whole lifting/exerting myself thing.

Steve, we are just going to have to play that one by ear. I am due for a visit from the stork in March, so we'll have to see. Sorry to be so noncommittal, but I don't have control over the schedule for my truck and I sure don't have any over this kid.

:)
