I went to Toyota.com to tell somebody in design to look at this thread, but i can not find a way to contact dem bastids.

this is some serious free market research right here.

I liked it pretty well before. You guys are making the thing pretty damn nice looking.

already been done.....Toyota is aware as are the designers.

We have some pretty creative individuals on this forum. My feeling is that this vehicle will evolve into what some of you guys are creating with this pictures. Do you guys remember when the RAV4 came out? It was fugly, especially the 2 door model, the new model is definetely nicer tha the original. So there's still hope for the FJC, just be patient. I like the fact the they made the FJC a 3 door model instead of 2 (the backdoor counts as a door, that why it opens sideways) to avoid the 25% import tariff.

somebody give the hood the landcruiser lines, instead of just being flat. and do something with the mirrors, maybe large round or something. those are the two things that dont seem to quite work- with the chops that is, without the chops, there's more not working. course function is important too, but what attracted me to cruisers in the first place was their unique look.

how about this?

That's the one, right there. 4 door, two tone white over blue and the longer rear window. I'd go sign up for one today.

And forget about what I said as far as building your photoshop files - you're doing fine. (but here's another pitch for Photoshop User magazine - check it out if you get a chance, I bet you'd dig it. It's on the magazine racks with all of the other computer magazines)

I made two tiny adjustments. 1) getting rid of the "Moon Patrol" roof rack, and 2) extending the rear roofline to accomodate a real Wilderness style full length rack, and some overhead, rear (and lockable) storage areas could be built into the interior. More for utility than aesthetics, I guess...
