I'll pull off the body and store it in my work shop. Then I'll pull all the bits and pieces off of the frame, including the suspension and axles. Then I'll need to pull the drivetrain. That part is gonna be real tricky. I'll have to find someone with an engine hoist I can borrow. It'll be helpful to have someone around that has pulled one before too. Cough @wngrog cough. Then I can blast the frame and have it sent to the powdercoater.

That's my plan at least.

Then I'll make a support for the body and start fixing the various bolts that got snapped during disassembly.

At that point, I'll have to decide if I want to pay someone to blast the body, or buy a blaster and do it myself. I'm 50/50 on the idea at this point.

Do you still do lawnmower work? lol

You bet. Worked on a few this morning, and a generator too.

Btw, I've been funding this entire FJ40 project with funds accumulated from small engine work, including the 40 itself.

@wct49 , it's about time I called to order a set of 33/10.5 BFG KM2s....maybe that OME kit we talked about too...

@beno said he can get me a new set of steelies in a week or two (and shiny new hubcaps)

@dnp is going to buy the set of 60 series chrome wheels that are on there now.

Don't worry, in 6 short weeks @Bodean will be the overland master too so he can ration s*** in all phases of Cruiser
Yep, my education will be complete. Not sure I'll want to do it much more after this crash course. I mean, we aren't even playing a preseason game! Straight to the Super Bowl for these 3 CLC boys. Oh well, it was on the bucket list and it'll be checked off now.

Moment of truth: checking to see if the top still fits, and the body didn't flex while I was replacing the quarters...
