Out at 70,000 miles,bad bulbs or poor connections ? MIke
I never paid much attention to it, but I suppose mine has been out since I bought it at 239K miles.
Mine went out about the same time my rear doorlocks stopped working and my leather ripped. Is there a connection???
No D in this household!
Sneaking up on 132k and D is still on. 
on my 94, went out at ~115k, about a month ago.
193k and it is one of the few bulbs that IS still working.

Went out last week at 118,500 wheeling up The Pyrenees.
Came back on yesterday 120,150 with some technical assistance

I don't think mine is even broken, I can see it turn on momentarily when I switch from P to D...it's just "misaligned" from what it seems.
Is there even a way to fix this? Not that I really care all that much.

If this is the first time it went out, give the top of the dash a good slap.
Worked on my rig and it stayed on for a few more months before finally giving out

Bought mine at 335k and no D, after slapping the dash one good time it's on for now.
No light for the AC controls is much more annoying lol
