Monstaliner on, not the spot on color but close enough, and motor dropped in. Previously had the OE exhaust manifold so I picked up a Man a Fre ceramic header but a quick check and it doesn't fit. Any suggestions for what to use? I liked the Man a Fre with ceramic bc it sealed up so nice on my 40 and the ceramic helps with heat next to a bunch of stuff I don't want more heat in.

Also, the body mounts below the radiator were toast. One bolt was so bent I couldn't remove from the original inner fender and the parts rig was missing them. Does the Cruiser Outfitters body mount kit include these?

My headers fit, even back when I had manual steering. The Downey/Mark A. headers...

Need some advice. I'm trying to use my F until I can't but I don't want to sink a bunch of cash into it. I'm in for $500 for the valve job and springs etc. I ran across a 3F-e motor/trans/transfer listed for $1000 "ran when pulled". This seems like a decent back up plan, just store it until/if needed. I'm not familiar with the difficulty of the swap though. Pull the trigger?

That might be a real nice drivetrain in a Pig, bet it's been done before-or something pretty close. Probably need to do something for a parking brake though

TriMeki - @Fe3 makes a very nice F/2F header:

Note - I am affiliated.

@gonzopancho has one on a 55, maybe he can comment on fit.

That firewall looks sexy … hitting the steering box? Was able to clear with a little BFH work on a 40, but that looks tight 🫤
Fitment is a challenge.

We spent a LOT of time getting ours to fit properly around the manual steering.

Our header is based on the Downey Offroad header, which Mark A then picked up. So they did some initial fitment work, and then we did more. Ours fits very well.

LOL, after all the header talk, the 3FE comes w/ some nice factory exhaust manifolds. I do not hear people wanting to replace those w/ headers.

The swap is not difficult.

It will bolt up. Wiring the Pig for FI will be the part that you have to think through.

Mig and tig, just learing tig though. Why do you ask?
I reached out to the seller and its an automatic trans, but I saw a guy on YouTube mated up a manual 4 speed.
Yes, you can run 3/4/5-speed behind the 3FE. Not a problem!
