My daughter took a picture the other night and had some app turn it into a ‘painting’.

Troubleshooting my hasn’t ever worked, but new license plate light. Had to sacrifice an old rusty turn signal for a wire extension, as the wire it came with extended down through the tub about 1”, which was never going to reach the rest of the harness (that has been chopped in the middle and ghetto fabbed back together for now).
I finally got a chance to use my haisstronica crimpers I got a year or two ago, and the oem style connectors from coolerman. I managed to do it but I’m not doing something right, I had to second crimp the part that grabs the wire.
Anyway, of course the ground is bad from the tailgate to the tub. I’m going to try and pull/clean the threads on the screws to see if that helps.

Likewise, I've been learning the methodology for perfecting open barrel crimps. I thought that this was a good instructional video. I believe that the trick is to place the metal terminal into the crimper and then lightly squeeze just enough to hold it, then feed the wire into the terminal before making the final crimp. It should do both crimps in one single action. With practice, you will get the hang of it.

@Green Bean some of the greatest video instruction tutorials I have seen have gotten the exact point across in under a minute or two. So many others pontificate on the virtues of why, how, who and after more than a few minutes, they start to detail the information you’re looking for…. This video is good, straightforward, direct, and to the point.

I watched it all…….twice!

Lost brakes on the way home, that’s fun. Good thing I already play the lights due to the 💩 carburetor.
The rear reservoir was empty but I can’t see any obvious leaks. The rear brakes have always been good. The fronts are discs, they must be down because they weren’t working either but the reservoir was full.
Add it to the winter list I guess.

@projectTuRD it has been a great time re-living your cool rides this last summer and fall 👍

So I finally got a chance to put the truck on stands and pop the rear drums off for the first time since I’ve owned it. Pleasantly surprised at what I found. Of course I’m out of brake clean so I haven’t tidied them up yet.
Still looking for a fluid leak. Now I get to bench bleed the master again and fill the system up with fluid to see where it came out when it emptied itself last time.

I had a 45 2 years ago that had a head rest on the drivers seat but none on the passenger side

Looks sharp. Am considering picking the SOR kit up for my 40 over the summer sometime. Does the kit include something in between the foam and the springs (like a replacement for the burlap / horsehair combo in the originals)?
