If you bought it thru Ebay find your info on the transaction, then contact them via Ebay they will handle it I'm sure......... reference the transaction number in your communication.
Go into your feedback, find the transaction this way, you have to reference it to prove it came from them

Did you have multiple cracks all the way through the padding?

I love it, this sounds like my kind of install!

I had nightmares of glue and clamps and wavy finished product...

Mine snapped on too but I used the silicone to hold it in place and some cardboard as clamps while the silicone dried. You can see pics on my POTM thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj55-iron-...972-september-potm-cruiser-guy-guatemala.html post #55 I think the cap sold on Ebay is probably the same one as Spector sells and is the one made by Palco in Reno, NV. There is no way there are two companies making this, the turnover would be way too low.

Butch,
Thanks for the ebay help. I did what you said and they emailed me asking for a contact number.
I will be hopeful that there is an easy repair.

fj, i'll try to find pics of the 76 before i put the dash cap on . it was pretty nasty and you can't tell with the cap on. i did "glue" it on, but it didn't hold, probably because of all the cracks;)

Just spent some time on the phone with Todd fron Crazy Cruisers. He is the "Dentdepot" ebay seller that has the caps for the 55. I explained my issue with the cap and he was all over taking care of whatever I needed. I told him I think I cracked it on my end. The box the thing came in was perfect and it was bubble wrapped so I had to be the one to damage it. He still said he's help in any way I wanted. Stand up guy!
I would tell everyone to deal with this guy on the cap and the list of other cruiser parts he has to offer. He has the caps listed on Ebay now. He is also working on quite a few products for the 55 and the 40 as I type. Well worth contacting.

His info is: todd @ dentdepot . com or the phone number is 866-590-3540

It was nice to find a guy so into helping us keep our stuff alive!

There will be another one. He always has stuff on there. I think they are out of Oklahoma City. I have ordred stuff from them too. Good dudes.

Old thread but thought I’d add a couple of items related to several dash pieces:
1) Not cheap but for $750 plus shipping, Just Dashes in California will take your old cracked dash and make it look brand new. http://www.justdashes.com/
2) SOR now sells not only a reproduction glove box door but also an instrument/gauge panel cover, They are both very well done.
3) if you need a center dash piece you can have one 3D printed by 3DOM Creative out of Australia. You will need the metal bracket from your original. Dashboard Centre Padded Panel – Landcruiser FJ55 - https://3domengineering.com.au/product/dashboard-centre-padded-panel-landcruiser-fj55/
