I gotta quit looking at for sale ads.
I saw this '87 fj60 for sale here a few weeks back and immediately thought it was a really good looking 60. I miss my old red 60 "Patina Louise" that my buddy @Ocho77 bought from me a couple of years ago. I really wasn't in the market for another red truck, or any truck for that matter, but I read through the ad and was impressed with the extras that came with it. I really got hung up on the SOR rear sliding windows, but not for this truck, but for "Chunk", my other 60 that is taking me forever to get done.

After looking closer at the pictures I was amazed to see a rust free 60- not something I have ever had. Chunk was really close, and so was Louise, but this thing was rock solid and sporting original paint as well!
It was strange that the extra parts drew me in first but once I focused on how great a truck it seemed to be, it all made sense.
Phone call in and a deal was struck right away (If "I'll take it" counts as a deal
)
@Ocho77 and I made a whirlwind trip to get it and made the round trip in 24 hours with gas stops and a quick snooze in the truck only because of the Covid 19 concerns.
I won't be able to work really fast on it due to two careers and wanting to get Chunk done, but I will steal some minutes here and there.
Here's the dirty beauty loaded up in Tennessee about to roll for home.
