PO had done this in my fuse box. Any theories as to why??
Is it a home brew headlight buzzer?
The 10a fuse is left headlight. The 7.5a is for the gauge cluster. Depending on what that device is the wires lead to, I’d suspect it’s using the switched gauge circuit to run the buzzer if you turn the key off and leave the lights on.

Also, it looks like a fuse is missing in the last slot of the first row on the left and also the lower round fuse, does that sound correct to you?

Also, also, just tested it and you nailed it. The device is a buzzer which goes off when the headlights are left on. Thank you!
The empty slots in the fuse block don’t have any metal terminal ends in them - they are unused. The same with the circle space on the right. This is the same fuse block that was used across a series of vehicles, including Diesel engine cruisers which had different circuits.
The only thing I do see missing - is below the lowest 7.5a fuse in the right row (lowest 7.5a is a spare) - there is supposed to be a spare 15a fuse in the bottom slot.
Interesting method to wire in a buzzer. If you want to remove just pull those two fuses out and the wires will come right out with them. It’s probably not a bad thing to have though.

A couple years later...and my gauge lights, running lights, and license plate lights are out. Everything else seems to work fine, headlights, brake lights, turn signals, interior lights, etc. I tried to jumper bypass the rheostat with no change. All fuses look good. Any ideas on what to look for next?

This is the battery side of the fusible link with the yellow connector. Is this potentially the culprit?

I tested normal volts at the battery and on either side if the fusible link. Very low voltage at the dash light dimmer. Any ideas on how to pursue next?

New fusible link and interior light dimmer installed. No change, any ideas what to chase next?
