I'm wondering if the best option would be a quality in tank pump. I'm assuming these pumps would run hot (thermal shock) during the summer months in the SW desert and yes a return line would be a must.

Really like your setup crazygreek. A few years ago, I almost pulled the trigger on a MSD Atomic ($2K plus) but wasn't convinced the four injectors where the answer for a 2F. Fast forward...Holly now owns MSD and the Atomic is now under $1K.

I could apply the grand toward a Baby Cummings and solve all my power issues or lack of.

Is there a need for some sort of pressure regulation on the return to the main tank to accommodate this type of system? On My carbureted system, I actually do not have a return line at all right now. Guess I'd have to add the line back to the tank. I do have a fitting on the tank for a return. What all is involved with the return line?? Greek, how did you handle it??

The Sniper unit has a inlet and a return or outlet with it`s own regulator. Hook up supply and return back to the tank and that portion is done actually pretty simple.

Cool! That does make it very simple! Now to figure out which model to get for my sbc powered rig. 4 pot unit seems to make sense, but may be overkill for a non-high rpm application..

Cheers!

I have a 4bbl and getting the throttle tip-in smoothed out is kind of a pain. All 4 barrels open at once so it pretty abrupt off idle. I added the progressive link kit, which helped a lot, but still comes down to me having more carb (TBI F.I.) than I need. I think the 2bbl would solve this, if you don't need all the capacity. But I like the way it looks, and that's what really matters. JK

Remember the 2300 two barrel supports up to 350 horsepower.. So you're probably good with the 2 barrel.

Ahhh, yes, then it should be fine. Dumb question: I have a 4 barrel manifold, Edelbrock Performer. Does Holley provide an adapter or is that a separate order item? Guess I should contact a dealer or someone knowledgeable in FI for these questions eventually, but since I am still in the consideration stages for this mod..I ask those who have done it! BrianSanDiego, do you have a write up of yours or pics to reference how it fits etc.??

Cheers!

Something like this should work in your situation...

Hello Sir, there is a lot of info in this thread here...

Holley doesn't give you an adapter with the kit, but I'd think the one thecrazygreek linked would work fine.
I don't have any pics up but would be happy to post anything you'd like to see or try to answer any questions.

Also, I highly recommend EFIsystempro.com for whatever you need. He's one of those knowledgeable and helpful people that is a great resourse.

Does anyone make an adapter for the Rochester 2GC? I did some searches and people have run then on F engines before. It looks like it would be easier to retain my current 1F air cleaner which mounts to the bracket on the head bolts than the 2300 style which is larger 5.13 and offset (though I already purchased the 2300 adapter)

Just thought I would update this thread...

Everything has been running great with this system!!

But I have had a couple blow ups!!

I learned not to use those cheap ass plastic see through fuel filters on a high pressure fuel system.
It exploded in my engine bay while pulling into the grocery store. Dumping fuel all over. I'm glad I had installed it on the passenger side, otherwise it might have been a firery situation... It did last a few weeks before blowing. I only had it there to keep an eye on the fuels condition. Now I am just going to trust the duel filters and change them out at yearly intervals.

Also, I had my power for the system (needs to be clean) coming off the switched side of the back of my fuse box. (one of the two tabs that sits back there)

Anyway, after messing with stuff over and over (radio, speakers etc) I was pulling it off and putting it back on, the tab on the back of the fuse block snapped off. Took me a minute to figure it out. Went out to start it one morning and the whole sniper system was dead.
Once I figured out what had happened, and ran a piggy back fuse thingy (I don't know what they are called) and plugged the sniper into it. So I am back up and running!

But, that's only a temp fix, so I am currently trying to figure out the best way to get a clean power source. ( I may need to just buy a new fuse box)

Other than that, this system is pure gold. Still highly recommended...

I am going to re-install my stock air-cleaner in the not too distant future with the mr gasket adapter. When I do, I will add that info here.

Did you install your fuel filter after the pump? Until Toyoto moved then pump.into the tank the filter was always before the tank.

You actually run two filters, one prior, and one after the pump.
Holley provided the filters in their fuel kit.

Here`s a pic of my pump and filter install it`s more of the pump but you can see both filters.

Thanks for the update!
Power and ground for the EFI straight to the battery for the cleanest power. I crimped and soldered my fittings for the best connection.
And yes as you found out, only use EFI rated filters and components. 60+ PSI will find a way if given a chance.

FYI. @FJ60Cam has all this stuff figured out and in a kit customized for your truck. Www.mosleymotors.com

Save tons of time from dealing with collecting all the small stuff yourself.

The power I am talking about is actually the "switched" power source. I do have the direct connection to the battery for the system, but you need a switched power source (smaller pink wire) for the fuel pump, and screen reader. And that power source needs to be clean. (nothing else using that source for power) Which can be tricky to find, which is why I went off the switched power tab on the back of the fuse box.

I have used the (+) power going to the coil
for the switched power with great success. It is only used to trigger the relay which turns the system on. The system gets its power from the direct battery connection.

I think Holley added the “clean” wording because they anticipated Jeep owners splicing in after the cool.

Likewise, the (-) side provides the needed tach signal. This is convenient because you can run the two connections together over to the Sniper and keep it clean. No breaching of the firewall.

^^^ By George I like the way you think!!!

Didn't think to grab power from the + coil...
