Interior looks just like mine, but I don't have the EGR-Brake-Seatbelt lights. Is that a Retro Mfg radio or an OEM unit?
I think the EGR-Brake-Seatbelt light came on later 1975 production dates that had factory front disk brakes (like mine has).

Yes, OEM radio and still works with the original glovebox speaker (only AM radio). We had to weld back in some metal to the radio slot because the PO had cut it to fit a modern radio.

Excellent work, you'd never know.

I thought it was a later month build, but just checked the Vin plate and says June 1975.
Does the frame number match the vin?
I'm guessing it's a 76, that's had a 75 vin tag swapped on.
The blue peaking out from under the 76 emissions sticker, the later brake/seat belt light, black plastic window regulators and obviously the front dis brake axle point to that. The four spd you put behind the new engine didn't have the pto cover on it....but I do not recall if that went away mid year or end of the 75 model year.

My May 1975 had the single lamp egr bracket in that same spot. It was part of the steering column support bracket…traded it for a plain bracket as it’s been desmogged. As I get older, I kinda like all the lights and their pretty colors…😵‍💫

It’s an early ‘76 model, mine had a ‘9/75 build date and was setup just like Jen’s. Got in trouble once ordering parts from a dealership, based on the date they sold me a ‘75 master cylinder with the drum proportioning valve in the front circuit which locked the disks. Looks like a fun trip, loved the Heritage museum!

In the US market it was 9/75 that the disc brakes started on 76 models. 9/75 shows as a change over month for model year. Fifty year old vehicle possible front axle was updated to disc brakes over the year. Might have come from a different market because of the location. If the model number is FJ40LV-KCJA it would be either an American or Canadian import. 2/76+ Canadian imported 40 series model numbers ended in K. To my knowledge the Canadian models up to 2/76 shared the same emissions as the US.

Had a pretty successful beach day in the 40. As expected the 40 ran flawlessly as it hummed along coastal road that weaves its way around the North shore of Oahu. Only one little hiccup I noticed is the rear drum brakes seem to be locking up more these days, something that will definitely need to be addressed, but that is a worry for another day.

Managed to get some much needed sunshine, and the relaxation time let me come to the conclusion that I needed some homemade Chile Verde in my belly for dinner. A successful market run resulted in some immediate hydration and a bunch of fresh ingredients for a delicious dinner. Here’s the 40 looking stunning in the parking lot, just effortlessly sexy!

With an overflowing grocery bag of chile peppers, tomatillos, onion, garlic, cilantro and a fresh slab of pork shoulder…the events were set in motion with the help of an old family recipe for deliciously tender slow cooked Chile Verde. Not to spicy, but bursting with flavor. Here it is about an hour on the stove.

You’ll just have to take my word on how good it was after a few hours of simmering on the stove😋.

I sure miss my mother’s home style cooking.
I can smell it from here . Delicious 😋

Wow Jen, what a difference there is in living for those 6000 miles between your location and mine. We take vitamin D supplements… you get it directly from the sun. We have places like Taco Bell, you get it all made exactly as you like it.

Here is your coastal drive……………………………...this one is mine.. wanna trade?

Pushing 3.2W into a 4-ohm speaker with 10% THD. Very Hi Fi. Actually, the AN-214 IC amp used in these two radios was pretty good for the day.
