And a small detail of the rear lights. The paint is amazing.

His windshield wipers are "Marchal" brand, used by Renault apparently, I'll probably go that way too...They fit perfectly.

Clever dude!

Hi, does anyone know if this is the right throttle knob for an FJ25?

The brass guide makes the stem fit perfectly, although we simply don't know how the system operates.

It just doesn't look right, I think this might be a newer knob.

Yes that is the correct Throttle knob. The correct choke knob is similar looking. (stolen photo)

The part you have should have a solid wire attached to it, that then slides back and forth inside a coiled sheath to activate the throttle.

If you used a fine drill and sunk a hole in the tip, perhaps you (or one of your many old world craftsman?) could braze a stiff wire to the assembly. Anneal it first so the tip is softer for drilling. Then get a donor housing 74 cm long (or perhaps a 10 speed bike cable housing cut to the right length). This housing will be fixed fast to the carb on one end, and dash on the other. The knob/wire should be the only moving part.

The stiff wire would extend at least 74 cm beyond the tip that you have. This gives it 9 cm free extension beyond the housing on mine (which I hope is correct). I haven't installed it yet.

RE: an early Toyota choke knob. There was a discussion somewhere about how the more readily available early Jeep knob looks just like it, given the Toyota one was reverse engineered from it.

Thanks for the tip! I'll let him know.

Does the normal FJ40 oil temp switch fit the FJ25? He needs one, also a stop switch, the one that makes the rear lights turn on when stopping/braking.

Hello fellow Mudders!

I talked to Manuel and he showed me exactly which part he needs, it is the one shown as "F" in the image bellow taken from his parts manual.

Does anyone know where this part can be found or does anyone have a spare?
