I am in the same boat.. Thought the bars ( 53" curved and 24" ) would look good and they were a good price... Just not sure I'm going to like them on a 60.. Impulse buy...:slap:

J

Yep, impulse buys haha. I bought Aidan a 4x4labs rear bumper kit last weekend and decided to just go ahead and spend the rest of that paycheck on ebay lights lol...

You should look in to the FROR tacoma front brake kit. It uses IFS hubs which would let you get rid of the wheel spacers.

Im eating some crow now because, after reading up and doing more research than just looking at the picture and saying "that looks a little too ghetto fabbed", I've decided this FROR kit is probably what I'm gonna use to add some track width! Thanks, @Toyoland66 for bring it up!

One main question to anyone who may know, will i need to use IFS locking hubs with this FROR setup or will my SA locking hubs still work? The ones in the picture below look to be the longer solid axle variety...

Ill need to get in touch with Onur about possibly modifying my order. I need to see if 60 caliper work with the kit or if i need 4runner/tacoma rotors as well as the calipers. After i hear back from Front Range, ill be good to go!

And the main reason I want to do this is so i can finally work towards getting a set of these!!!!!!

THESE WHEELS ARE NOT MINE
Do i need a set of double beadlocks... Hell no. But just look at this setup!

Just imagine it with 37" MTRs...

I got off the phone with Hutchinson the other day and unfortunately they only come with a 4.51" BS, with is the Toyota IFS norm, so IFS hubs are the way to go and i get to get rid of the spacer up front (or i could add a spacer to the rear for some more stable wider stance goodness... Ill probably do that haha).

And because i finally wired up the front LED bar, some pictures!

Its not my favorite location, but i wasn't going to cover up the "TOYOTA", thats for sure.

And just in case y'all forgot what it looks like at night... Its dark lol

Its bright

Thanks for looking peeps

Honestly don't see why spacers are such a problem, if cars going +100 around corners have them then our trucks going slowly over rocks should be fine. Keep it simple

Truck looks good!

What brand are those beadlocks?

Hutchinson/rock monster. Your 8 lug wheels wouldnt look like that... they look better! DOT compliant and all that good stuff.

But you were so for the idea when toyoland66 first brought it up lol. anyway, yeah spacers are fine. thats why after i install the FROR thing, ill add another set of 1.5" spacers to the rear to match the set up front.

You have the FZJ80 rear axle in Woody, right? The IFS hubs will bring the front to the same width as the rear without spacers involved, that's the beauty of it.

Yep I'm gonna have 1.5" spacers front and rear after adding the IFS hubs. Little bit of extra width!

Oh, I gotcha now. Keep an eye on your wheel bearings both front and rear, as well as your trunion bearings up front. They'll wear faster when you've got your wheel moved out that far.

cool, will do! thanks for the heads up, Bud.

Why not just run a 3" spacer in front? Basically the same thing.

Cool wheels.

Yeah it would be the same, but I don't really want a 3" spacer. Plus I like throwing money at problems that aren't really there.

Whoops... Contradicting myself again. I guess my brain is too focused on schoolwork... Yeah right!

What's heavier, IFS hubs or Cruiser hubs?

After a couple trips to Toyota, Ive got all my brake parts!

It was a awesome little early Christmas present to myself :candycane::candycane:

Some of the fun little miscellaneous parts

Bigass 80 series rear rotors

And those beautiful new rear calipers

And the V6 tacoma rotors. smaller than i was expecting but i guess thats just compared to the rears..

The Tacoma calipers, equally as perty as the 80 rears, but refurbished.. one caliper did have 3/4 new pistons so thats nice haha. Its neat to see what my dirty, old, rusty caliper cores i gave up will be transformed into.

And the cherry on top! Brand spanking new 80 series non-ABS MC! Don't know if it was necessary, but my current MC looks like one from some ebay store in China, that and its rubber cap ripped and it being held together by FIPG .

Thanks Onur :)

Hopefully that tacoma IFS hub kit thing will get here soon, I'm getting bored again and need something to do...

:hmm: Can someone say interior cage, new seats, harnesses, and Dynomat!

Still haven't started on my brake swap. Between the cold and helping Aidan with his little projects, i just haven't found time to do it. And I've finally just filed my taxes, so its got me in the buying mood... First up, winch... that or one tons! after this weekend, i realized its time i just bite the bullet and order one. i was gonna do the Redline cage, PRP seats, harnesses, etc, but thats a decent size job that id rather tackle that when its nice and sunny out instead of rainy and 40*, so I'm thinking that'll happen during the spring/summer. Then Hutchinson DUBs!

So, pictures from AOP the first Georgia Cruiser trip of the year. It was a little wet in some places, so some of the hill climbs got pretty interesting or just not doable without speed or a winch, but I think I speak for everyone when I say we had an awesome time, especially since there weren't trillions of side by sides buzzing around everywhere!

The park was cool. It had a pretty good mixture of rocks and dirt, and easier and more difficult trails.

This one one of those hills that just got a bit too muddy that half the crew got up, and that the rest of us decided not to push our luck and just wait for them to come back around near the bottom.

Heres where we found a group of jeeps, so Rocky and Ted decided to give them a show!

He started getting a bit tippy so he pulled cable for one little spot.

Then Ted's turn.

Trail 25 was a good one. nice long rocky hill climb, then at the top a some large boulders with a difficult line to the left and an easier line at the right.

John up the harder left side

Part 2

My turn!

I didn't really think about which line i was going to take, just trusted my spotter, Ted...and boy did it got exciting on that left line LOL!

First it started getting a little off camber.

Feeling tippy!

In between this picture...

and this one right below.
I managed to slip off a rock, sending the front driverside wheel up in the air and causing me to teeter on the front passenger and rear driver wheels before the rear driver finally hit and stopped me from going over backwards haha. I was happy i thought to put it in reverse and roll back a little on my way towards staring up at the sky, but that probably wasn't necessary haha. In that second picture, I can almost hear everyone laughing and Ted asking, well why'd you do that lol?

Bill's front locker wasn't working for some reason, but he made i up the right after a few tries.

The last little trail we did before hopping in with the more hardcore guys just had some random boulders and descents, but they were fun too.

We even managed to spot camp from the side of the mountain!

Spy shot!

After wheeling, we went out to eat pizza, I got called "Ralphie" from A Christmas Story (I can only assume its because I'm as cute as a fxxxing button), and I was promised a pink rabbit costume (which i intend to wear), but instead of freezing to death with the rest of the guys, aidan and i checked into a hotel :princess:
