@robustbambi great pics! I'm diggin' that little mini truck!

Yeah that thing is awesome. Super clean.

damn, i miss wheeling... Those trails looks like a lot of fun... Cant remember, are you fully locked? Sure looks like it from the lines picked ;)

Yeah man, get back out there and WHEEL!!!! Yep locked front and rear.

Checked into a hotel

Love the action shots! Which park was this?

Oh yeah! Hotel's the way to go when the other alternative is trying to fit 2 guys in the back of the 62 to sleep

This was at Adventure Offroad Park in a little west of Chattanooga. Good trails for us, but caters to the Buggy crowd. In fact theres a big buggy event this coming weekend. $25,000 bounty hill from what i was told

Been super busy with work for the last couple months, so i haven't done much to the cruiser besides adding the new jw speaker headlights. A couple weeks ago I was finally able to install the front range off road IFS hub tacoma "brake kit", front tacoma calipers, 80 series rear calipers, and the new rotors. It was really nice to get my hands dirty again and actually work on Woody! I still have to install the new non-ABS 80 series MC, but after that, my brake system will be completely overhauled. Good thing too because i just ordered a new set of aluminum wheels, and they are heavy... but damn they are nice :):):). I'm hoping to be able to make time when they arrive to swap the tires on.

Wait till you have a family, then you'll really be busy. If you think the aluminium wheels are heavy then it's a good thing you stayed away from the split rim steel ones.

Haha yeah I'm not planning on a family for a very long time... probe like 50 or 60 years. And i wasn't ever considering any split steel wheels, those are the split aluminums i got!

Are the front Tacoma rotors the same size as the 60 rotors? Reason I'm asking is my TLC Calipers need to be rebuilt but I have good drilled/slotted 60 rotors and just want to swap on the Tacoma calipers. So do you think Tacoma calipers + 60 rotors will work?

And for your rear brakes it's just stock 80 series?

EDIT Just looked back earlier in the thread and saw that they go with the IFS Hubs

yep rear brakes are all just new OEM 80 stuff. i asked the FROR guys and they said it was only for tacoma brake parts.

...in other news, my wheel order won't ship out until early may at the earliest... so that sucks. why couldn't they just sneak in before the giant military order :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

Are they beadlocks?

Are they beadlocks?
No... DOUBLE BEADLOCKS!!!!! i thought i posted pictures of the hutchinsons? maybe only in my other thread.

Didn't realize they were aluminum, I assumed they were steel. The weight difference should help a little in the acceleration department, but the real agility upgrade will be the secret we were discussing. ;)

Those hutchinsons are super slick, but pricey.

I think these things probably weigh more than the fj steelies i have now. Shipping label says 50lbs each... so I'm hoping they just added many lbs of shipping peanuts to each box lol.

yeah but sometimes, you just gotta...

lol.

Holy wow, I wanna see those wheels in person when you get them!

I called up Rock Monster yesterday and they said that they were trying to expedite a lot of the orders because some of the larger military orders hit a snag. That means mine may be available a week or two earlier than expected! Fingers crossed the wheels will arrive and tires will be swapped by GSMTR in May!!!
