Bryan,
I probably missed it but how much hose did you end up needing for all the soft line?
I posted all I got - and I will update it on what was actually used. I might have over bought a few. I can send them too when the springs arrived. They shipped.

My charcoal canister is not used (part of desmog from PO I inherited) - if I were to do an EFI, would hook it up. Do I really need to change those now?

There are two hoses that I am not touching at this point as they will be easier to do when the Tcase comes out for rebuild. Could do it now, just way easier when that will be out of way. For now, everything clean up to the fuel filter - which is full of crap after 1 year of driving.

More soon

EDIT - there is one hose that is hard to find/get - I think I mentioned it - but will re-post. And that is if you want Toyota branded rubber - can also get other fuel rated line elsewhere.

I’m more of a “how many feet should I get?” Kind of guy.

Poking around my carb yesterday and there is some junk in there. It’s going to need a refresh and I’ll start working backwards on the hoses.

What got me out of the hoses is that you, had all of the lettering face the same direction……That say’s something!

Great work! Read the whole thread! Thanks for sharing.

I'm struggling with the diameters of toyota part numbers (bulk brain dumps from cold medicine) - some hoses were xxxxx-060 or -080 - different clamp sizes etc. I think I got one ID on the fuel suction side - = 7.6 mm

And they all may be same size ID - just different OD on the vent side (xxxxx-060xx) vs actual gas routing - (xxxxx-080xx)

I’ll get it figured out.
Thanks.

It’s “CD”

Think music not jeep
Thx - bulk brain dump - I knew that just couldn't connect it with the keyboard

Working the evap area by passenger seat and removing the cover in the PS rear wheel well....

1) for the little hoses with the Separator next to passenger seat (This is for 1979+ models - can't confirm lengths for others) - there are three small hoses and 1 long one - three smalls are .26 feet each, the long one is 1.5 feet.

2) Take the cover off in rear PS wheel - there are three (same ID) that connect from tank to the tubes connecting above - those are .5 feet each.

3) If you want to do that line to charcoal - right at base of PS rear wheel - that is same diameter - and is .5 feet

4) Also in the rear wheel well access - the vent tube (90445-22024) that came was .75 feet but cut not quite half of that off. Need to find that ID - (and I can send what I cut off and you can use that to model after)

5) Lastly the intake hose - I just got one from City Racer - I used OEM clamps though - struggling with his other clamps I used in engine/cooling - just too soft for my linking personally.

Summary: I can't confirm the diameter yet - total length for above for the smaller ID hoses needed in that area - 2.75 feet 3 to be safe as I am screwing up - that might be a bit much as all the above were cut down - but that would be the max you need for that area and ID....

For what it is worth - I bet ID is 7.6 mm and the difference is hose thickness with the actual fuel lines vs vent.

-----------------

Moving to suction tube and that routing.... ID is 7.6 (number pulled from parts diagram) = .299 inches

Where the suction tubes are (Driver Side of tank) - those were the -080 stuff - the two that were replaced were .55 feet each and cut down. Those go all the way up to carb - Not done doing all that right now.

Best I can tell with the length - 5 feet - but that is if you are using the fuel return line - my carb is not hooked up with fuel return at this point - can't remember yours - There is one hose that is 1.8 feet on return side - remove that and your about 3 feet.

Can measure the ID and post them - and/or send you stuff so you can model that.

To me, everything I said is clear, to all you... ?

Awesome, Thanks B.
I'll bust out my decoder ring here in a bit.

Right after someone put a blanket across my lap and wipes the oatmeal off my chin.
Sorry. Quote from A Christmas Story. You said decoder ring

On to the wiring for the fuel sending unit. Tagging @Stevens79FJ40 as he is getting close to this - I don't like highjacking other's thread
