Good question.... I went on a buying splurge when Dave said he is calling it. I ordered all the 4plus things (real and potential) I thought I might want/need (only to realize I didn't get the rocker protectors until I saw them on your thread...) - and I thought I was getting the small bracket for holding the seat (I saw on Nolan's thread back in July - and I believe @Green Bean has), not the actual leg. Kind of think now it was a mistake and should have opened everything when the pallet arrived vs just the big stuff.

I figure if I don't use them, I will offer them up to someone else on Mud. Same with the 4plus bumper. I have both versions - and if for some reason I don't use the 8472 bumper (still bubble wrapped), I have you first in that line.

now that the blinker orientation is resolved 🤦‍♂️ I want to spend some time understanding why the right rear stops periodically. I did another round of Deoxit. It seems like to bulb comes loose in the socket after so many days of bumps and/or the corrosion needs more effort.

that and, put the foam & covers on the rear seats.

Just thought that I would return the favor and hijack your thread for a bit

Last Night - Yellr and I tailgating town folk before Thursday night football - put some holiday lights along the drip rail for festive purposes.

Today did some seats - put foam and covers back on. Used new OEM bolts to put in

Decide to see if I could freshen up the rear mat. Might need more serious attention - yet works for the 10 minutes it took.

Then drove around for fun.

So after 1400 miles, I'm averaging 13.3 mpg -

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the shed; blinkers work on Yellr, - “THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE” I said!

Friends from MUD, too many to mention; all posting their Holiday Cheer extension.

This Noob, bogarting what’s robust and in vogue; incorporating @wngrog’s “formula” from his Tilda Bogue.

A few engine builds ending with JimC’s pistons I think; 2023 was a struggle and reflecting… was worth the cha-chink.

Yeller with his 4Plus and I with a “Jeeps-R-Heeps” cap; just settled down for a long Barcalounger nap.

When up on the roof there arose such a clatter; a crash, a rattle, a Ho Ho, and then a splatter.

Something must of hit the piano wire I thought; and then if it did, it’s the farm they bought.

WTF? My wondering eyes being the accuser; seeing a fireball of a little jeep, in a death spiral, towed by 10 smokin’ Land Cruisers.

Down like an Iraqi Scud they whistled in flames; I heard the fat pilot call them by names.

Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Super Vixen, now Norman and Uma, Mule 2.0, Tiger40, and Nixon.

My Ducks!, My Ducks! He screamed ‘fore they impacted; Jeep dug a 9-foot-deep crater but he had ejected.

It’s too bad his chute didn’t open and he went down the chimney; I didn’t think he’d fit but at the speed he hit, he went right down by Jiminy.

In a cloud of soot, he landed with a cough; and that is when @BenjaminCA immediately removed a 2F Engine, that fell, and finished him off.

I know, it’s Christmas and I should feel like a louse but this is my property, STAY OFF MY HOUSE!

Happy Holiday everyone, however you celebrate!

That needs to be an illustrated children's book and a made for Hulu movie😜😂. That was fantastic

YELLR keeps getting packages of small parts.

I got a new timing light (kept using others) and this sweet coffee mug to throw in the rotation.

I’m going to play and learn more with the timing light and vac gage, - lean drop method with the carb when I return in a few weeks. I know it is idling above 650.

I just got a new digital timing light that lets you set the advance degrees and shows the RPM. It showed my RPM as 900, dialed it back to 650 and it seemed like it was barely running so I pushed back into the 750-800 range. I feel like it isn’t accurate in that I’d been using an FJ60 tach as a remote quick connect and it was hovering in the 650 (as best as could be read on those) range.

I think I’ll try a third tach and see which is right.

That mug is awesome by the way, too true.

Hmmm - I added some pressure to myself to get more done this year. Just registered for SAS #8 - will see if I made the cut.

This will mean - the steering & suspension, knuckles, diffs I intended to do - and now added my TC & transmission rebuild & maybe add PS.

Can't wait buddy!

Make it happen Cap'n. I'm already starting lists and spreadsheets. 😆

I saw it advertised on Instagram today, but I don't think that I can afford it this year. Financially, work wise, and marital wise.

I was looking at your spreadsheet today that you linked in SAS7!

Booking the KOA at Xmas??? F$ck, I thought I was good cuz a butchered a poem at Xmas. I do like you can book 25 in August.

I’m going full Karl, get in it so you know what it is made of. Thus the TC and trans got called-up.

Karl @sogncab, did you sleep between SAS registration and the event? I made a list (below) in my head last night and don't think I slept. I keep adding too since it was -20 this am and I don't want to go tinker with Yellr.

I made a to-do tab, bring along tab, and parts to buy tab on my spreadsheet.

Below is my "I'd like-to-do" to Yellr for SAS (I have other stuff not listed)- I will edit this post as I go along = next 204 days (thanks Karl for posting the time remaining!) Will see how far I get!
