That third member looks a bit out of place with the spiffed up axle housing. But, I'm sure that it won't be long and you'll have it matching the housing. Everything is coming along good there, keep it up.

Don
It does. I had to remove it to move everything around when working. I should have installed it prior to paint. Once I have the housing all sealed up with knuckles, hubs, etc installed I will wire wheel and paint it.

I got 4 of the 5 tires mounted today. Still waiting on the last tire to get delivered. 255/85 KM2s. This is my first set of non Goodyear tires on a 4wd. Until my set of Duratracs on the 80 I have had MTRs on all trucks for the last 10+ years.

Side by side comparison to my a 285/75 MTR.

I really like those wheels, I bought 5 for my '86 FJ60 project. I'll be running BFG 235/85R16 AT KO2s - next best tire size to the 33X9.50R15s I've been running on my FJ60s for years.

Shipping update:
I got the "temporary exit permit" or whatever it's called today. It's a three week permit so hopefully the truck gets out of the country before then or I will have to get another. It ran about $36 with lawyer fees. Now it is just finding a good time to drop off at shipper and let him do his thing.

I had a little time after work tonight so I got to it since the wife wasn't home yet. I finished the short side which shouldn't have taken as long as it did. After finishing the ball grind I installed the knuckle upside down and didn't realize it till after I torqued everything down. Then when removing it I noticed I cross threaded a stud so wasted time replacing that. Anyway one side down.

You can see the area that needs to be grinded for 60 series birf. Both upper and lower inside. Doesn't take much. A few minutes with a flap disc is all it took.

I went with the can of biscuits method on the grease. Slopped that stuff in with my hand.

No dust shield. I made a spacer out of it.

A few tools for the job. HF driver set. It has taken a beating but is well worth the cheap cost of it. It has every size needed for Land Cruiser seals and races.

Wheel bearing grease. I used to use mobile one red but I didn't like the way in the summer heat here in Texas it would turn to liquid in its container in the garage or leak out of the grease gun. This blue stuff seems to hold up better in the heat. It will liquify a bit but not as bad as the red stuff. I have been using it on the 80 wheel bearings with no complaints and it will also be going into the Dana 60 on the F350 when I repack the bearings in the coming weeks.

I have the exact same HF driver set and you can't beat the $36 cost, those drivers work great!

I have a few more items for the parts list now. The truck was finally going to get delivered to the shipper today but that got scrapped due to a bunk battery. My buddy didn't have time to mess with it this morning so it will go tomorrow when he can jump start it. Since it will go into a container rather than roro I can deal with the battery issue when it gets here. Battery was a maintenance item that would be replaced anyway. Another thing noticed when dealing with the battery was that the beak on one of the hood latches (bottom photo) was broke off. Both will get replaced.

Turns out when my friend was joy riding in the 40 weeks ago he didn't turn off the radio which was not ignition switched. I was surprised he hadnt driven it in weeks.

Started up this morning and is heading to the shipper as we speak. Not holding by breath that it will ship quick but it's at least taking another step in the right direction.

The diesel sounds great without skipping a beat, can't for you to get it home!

I am as well. Now I need to figure out how to get it home once it arrives in Tampa. I can fly and drive it 16 hours home or drive there with the F350 and tow it back. Due to my work schedule it will come down to quickest and or cheapest option.

Shipping update.
The container I'm sharing is waiting on another dude who is shipping a Land Cruiser as well. No time frame on that at the moment. If anyone here is shipping through Charles Zeller hurry it up!;)
I also took the week off from finishing the front axle. I dropped a birf on my toe and had to go to the ER and have my nail removed. FYI flip flops aren't the best thing to wear in the garage. I was going to bandage it up and finish what I was doing but the wife insisted on the ER.

During my last axle rebuild I lost a fingernail due to punching the housing when the diff drain plug let loose. I guess its my thing now.
Anyway got some more parts in this week. I got u-bolt flip kit for front and rear from 4plusproducts and a nice package from @beno which had B engine gasket kit (I was very surprised it was still available), oil filter, shock hardware and some hood latches w/hardware. Also a nice Toyota hammer. It's alway fun opening up stuff from Onur.

Sorry about your toes! I recommend Steel Toe shoes while working on your cruiser.

Depending on what part of the country you live in, I'd go for composite toe shoes or boots. A very, very long time ago I had a '66 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT that I was installing headers on. I was working out in the driveway at my parent's house late at night in mid-January getting the vehicle ready to drive down to college the next morning - couldn't have been above freezing. The steel toe boots were definitely uncomfortable after a couple of hours out there.

Funny thing was I had one of the ball bearing from the birf roll off the table on my foot 10 minutes before. It hurt enough for me to think I should change shoes but I didn't. Lesson will not be learned. It's just too fxxxing hot here in the summer for proper boots.

lmao. It's not summer in Texas yet... wait 'til August... When you will gladly crawl under her for the shade and the sweat runs down into your eyes. Looks like your making a lot of progress by the way. My pinkie nail is almost grown out from a smack/black bruise under nail from a November repair adventure. Gotta love these trucks and I've got four to keep rolling...

Well...at least you have nine more toes!:hillbilly:
