Yeah, @boots4 paved the way for the 7100s. I resisted for a long while with the 5125s, but finally caved

So what are the difference between them ? School me . :grinpimp:

I almost went with the 5125's..

Ok, so... More stuff back home. My friend at the fab shop had time to weld up my bumper, who am I to say no. Now I got some fancy welds that will be a breeze to clean up ( not everywhere ) . Gonna pull the bender out for some bush ( moose ) protection and some hoops for the shocks.

( insert nice welds here )

I wish I could weld like that.. :grinpimp: :bang:

Yup, me made a little booboo on the first holes.. Nothing to see here, please move on.. :hillbilly:

Wanted too see some shocks mounted, real bad, so I put the rears on..and, what..no.. ah FU%#.. :bang:

Great,just my luck..Two lefts...

So for the rear shock res's I am gonna hang them on my rear battery box like this, as the one on the right is a little to close to the diff for comfort.
I didn't think how long that were gonna be, no biggie, easy fix...

Spent the day working on some front hoops, trying to figure where to place everything. The only die for 1" I have is 5" bend, wish it was maybe a 6", but I'll make it work. Got thing's somewhat there but at the end of it all I noticed my shock body is going to be a little to close for comfort next to my 4plus flip shackle plate. So, tomorrow I will do another model of bend and maybe slant them back a tad, not sure yet, will see..

Wish my bend wasn't as tight, but it's works,,,

 .....

Well, got back into it today.. Things went well I think, decided to try some other bends to clearance the reservoir's a little better and try to clear my inverted shackle hangers. My friend had came over at end of day yesterday to look things over with me, and as promised, showed up with some hoop brackets for mounting the shocks !!

Sure is Kool having good friends with Kool tools !

As it seem's, it takes me a few try's to get thing's right.. The white marker on the corner is what I am trying to avoid hitting my shock .

Awesome work mister.
I had some scrap horse stall mats and it worked great with my shock hoop setup. I put my front Bilstein reservoirs in the engine bay.

Thanks Hojack, Your rig looks amazing,

Thats prolly the way I will Go, I think I have some rubber around here somewhere?
You know I believe in function before fashion, but in this case since my fender wells are so big I kinda wanted to showcase my shock's ( I know, I know ) so I want to see them. :hillbilly: Heck, I even had my friend 3M tape them them, haha...

Stiffest valving for the 5125s isn't stiff enough for the weight of an engine swapped SOA 60.

Did you fabricate the entire inner wheel well? Killer work man.

Thanks Johnny, yeah made them awhile back now with some metal I had laying around.. Kinda needed something to fill the void.

I think he fabricated the entire truck!

HAHA, Saved from the scrap pile, not sure it was wise, but....

Got a little bit in today, blasted, sanded and welded..

Ots probably good buttfuckit you habe the skills Nother gusset wont hurt

I don't have a top gusset on my front hoops and it's been 12 years without shock hoop problems. You certainly can if you want but it's not necessary. If those supported the truck like a coil over would a top gusset would be a good idea but your leaf springs are actually supporting the weight.

X2, I don't have a top gusset either, and for a few years I was using my front shocks as bump stops :o
