Good Luck on your procedure Danny...Prayer sent for a positive outcome.

Good Luck and You will be in our prayers Danny.

Thanks guys, I think I’ll probably live.

I have to say though, I’m constantly forgotten/overlooked in various doctors’ waiting and exam rooms. I don’t know why...

Dianna swore I was imagining it, until we both had appointments together and they called her and left me waiting until I reminded them.

But, yesterday was the first time the surgical prep nurses forgot all about me.

I had to be there 90 minutes before my procedure. At 93 minutes prio, a nurse took me to prep room 3 and told me to gown up.

I gowned up and laid there for 48 minutes and finally accosted the supervisor, as she walked by.

I told her I was getting ready to do the procedure myself and she was very apologetic.

I still beat the surgeon, but what the hell makes me so forgettable?!? :bang:

Hey Danny all went good Pain is minimal. Now a month of therapy and back road again I hope. Glad to read your surgery went good also. Time to recover and get back on your adventures with the boys. We lost both of our girls back in March a week apart. I really enjoy seeing someone love their dogs and treat them so good.

Take your time letting your body heal.
I got a bad shoulder/neck/back pain 2 weeks ago that will start to get better as I take it easier but as soon as I start moving my right arm more than normal it knocks me back. Ive been slowly less hunched over each day but not perfect. Getting alot of reading time in though when not at work

Get some lawnchair time watching the dogs run themselves tired chasing a ball. A tired dog is a happy dog.

Glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery!!

Sorry to hear about your girls... it’s tough... time to make new memories with a new puppy.

We had girls for years... until a breeder talked us into a male... males never grow up... puppy forever.

Go slow JP... it’s hard when the pain is minimal, but ya gotta do it.

Getting old ain’t for the young!!

Dogs cure every ailment!!

Well, I saw the surgeon on Monday and was told not to do anything, that might stress his repair, for 6 more weeks.

I find it very difficult to sit on my ass and watch TV and have already completed two jigsaw puzzles and several books.

So, I invented a project to create an old fashioned car window cooler out a a 4’ length of 4” ABS pipe, some scrap lumber, a threaded rod, a black nylon (knee high) stocking, some scrap metal, nylon straps and associated buckles.

This is really more of a vent than a swamp cooler. But, if I feel it’s worth it, I’ll modify it to provide a water/ice-cooling method.

I’ll also paint it to match 44, if it proves worthy.

Hey Danny nice old school A/C unit. I know what you mean going nuts setting around doing nothing. I've watched 4 little birds grow up and leave the nest. Watched the rabbits run around the yard. 1 week and i am able to walk the back yard with a cane 1 lap and back to couch raise leg and ice. I start therapy Friday so things will start moving along. it`s good you are able to get out to the garage and do some light projects.

West Virginia air conditioning.

I grew up using these coolers in the window and a canvas water bag in front of the radiator. Survived many 120* trips across the desert, before the invention of AC. We didn’t even have swamp coolers at home until I was 8 years old.

I won’t know where I’m going with this until I try it out... it’s mainly to get more air to the boys, in my bed. The bed blocks the air from the kick vent.
