I’ve removed the broken fan and have taken a CBD elixir to help mitigate my abdominal pain.

I had my Nuclear Stress Test yesterday and have a Cardiologist follieip on April 9th... hopefully l, he will release me for surgery... I’d like to get this over with, so we can get back out in the middle of nowhere.

My new fan should be here in s couple of days.., I’m hoping the various CBD products allow me to get the new fan installed.

Anyway, speaking of fans, the boys and I are huge fans of poetry, lyrics and musical arrangements of the late Leonard Cohen!!

We’re sitting in 44, in the garage, watching the best concert, of Leonard’s many songs, that I have ever seen!!

Y’all should give it a try... on YouTube... it’s from Dutch Radio 1... “Cohen Sessie 1”... (link below)... some songs are in Dutch, most are in English.

The singing and instrumentation are sublime... nee ... ze zijn legendarisch !!

Its actualy Belgian, Flemish to be presise.

Well that CBD Tincture helped me enormously!! One dose of this and I have yet to take ibuprofen today... unheard of!!

I was able to get the new fan on 44, the shroud back and everything related buttoned up.

For anyone who likes to watch a fan turn, or a fan belt ploughing through its paces ...

Whoa, Danny, you are SO ready for another road trip...

Oh, you have NO idea!!

Now that I’ve discovered the “Fountain of Utes”, I’m especially optimistic.

I awoke this morning, at the threshold of 102 years of age... knees, hips and back hurt like hell... just from 30 minutes hanging over 44, to mount the new fan.

I massaged a bit of Mary’s Muscle Freeze into my old man joints and, within 10 minutes, I was spry as that yearling steer, looking at his reflection in the paint of my black Tundra, right before headbutting the side of my truck into oblivion.

I can’t begin to compliment the effects of CBD balm, oil and tincture!! No impairment and almost instant relief!!

I’ve quit using Cymbalta (60mg) cold-turkey, because I couldn’t get a general practitioner and a rheumatologist to ageee that the side effects were debilitating.

It’s been 4 weeks now, and I can now add 1 and 1 and get 2, without using anything, but my 20 year old mind.

My creativity is back, my depression went with my brain fog... and we won’t even go into libido ;)

... and I’m only taking a max of 600 mg of ibuprofen per day... down from 2400mg/day.

Now, to finally get this umbilical hernia repair scheduled and get on the road to my next adventure... the boys are already loaded up!!

I’m getting ready to adjust my hand throttle and see how fast my optimism fades... the center of the engine compartment is my largest nemesis...

Please don’t be sorry you engaged

"Side effects? Docs don't care 'bout no side effects..."

Don't get me started on the retarditude of MDs and drugs.

The best Dr I’ve ever used is DO... much better approach than MD.

DOs treat the whole body, as a system.

MDs treat symptoms, with drugs.

Side note: it’s so gratifying, seeing Perdue Pharma and the Sackler family FINALLY getting the attention the deserve for all the damage they’ve done to so many people/families... all in the name of opioids and the almighty (albeit bazillion) buck(s).

It’s not about patient care, it’s about the all mighty dollar.

The next time I have an MD recommend I stop doing an activity because of an injury, I am going to choke that stoopid m'fer out.

If it were left up to MDs, we'd walk 20 min, 3 times a week and avoid any other kind of activity because it might result in injury. Nevermind quality of life or ability to do activities.

The boys and I are always vigilant for ways to make 44 more livable. Since, my MegaMat always rides on the PS, I've been a little leery of pinching a hole into it, while closing the console. I never lock the console anyway... nothing of value, in it, to steal.

I very seldom reinstall the PS seat, but have to be able to reinstall it, should the need arise. So, everything, on the PS side has to be modular and easily removable.

We didn't/don't know exactly what we want, in the center... just that we want a comfortable arm rest and a specific place to carry my fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

So, rather than spend a lot of time on this, we threw together a rough prototype, using the following criteria:
  • Comfortable armrest.
  • Comfortable place to rest a wary dog chin... or two
  • Night stand
  • Card table
  • TV tray
  • First aid kit storage
  • Fire extinguisher mount
We'll drive with it and see how we like it.

If it passes the test, we'll build/paint a better one... if not, we'll use the prototype until we get tired of it, or figure out what we want.

I'd like to see gopro cams mounted on Chester and Teddy. They probably could provide an excellent perspective from time to time.

Especially while chasing those huge jackrabbits. Chester chases them... Teddy chases Chester, crying the whole time... sounds like, “Ouch, ouch, ouch..,”.

Every time I’m not prepared, they flush a rabbit.

Surgery tomorrow

I’ve been trying to get this scheduled since December.

I have an incisional hernia, where the camera was inserted, at my naval, during my prostatectomy, in 2006. It’s becoming an issue.

I’ve had to get clearances from practically every doctor I’ve ever seen. So, tomorrow’s the big day.

Another wasted spring. :bang:
