Mudders, meet Elsie, my new pig

let me clarify Chris, I am NOT buying that. I actually dont care for that pig for some reason.

Given the state of my roof, I have pretty-well convinced myself that cutting off the top and putting in a cage is the path I am going down. The above pics were for reference only as this is the closest one that I have seen that shows the full cage.

Your intuition is guiding you accurately.

Can't find the thread I know I saw regarding that, but it's a POS deluxe. Knowing what I know now, you'd have to pay me to take it.

That cage isn't a cage, but tube welded to rotted sheet metal. We all know the structural value of pig sheet metal, untended.

You what a roof?

If feels more solid than mine, and my guy said he's keeping mine, so this one is ready for surgery.

Have a thread going on it with links to the two POs threads.

For that matter, let me get what I need off the front and bottom, what others need in that thread (recoup my investment) and you can come get the whole thing!!

good idea dave!

chris- let me think about it. the issue isnt getting a roof, but the cost involved in putting it on. I appreciate the offer for sure though!

I have a bad vacuum leak from my booster. Will a 60 booster work as a replacement? I know people have put on 80 boosters too. Or I could get this one rebuilt

Mini truck booster will work as well, and may be easier & cheaper to find...

60 booster works fine, you do have to mount it upside down, but no issue there. i ran like that for years in my 74bodied fj40.

thanks ige and pighead!! I have some 60 boosters, so that would be the least expensive/easiest way to go.

Pulled the pig out yesterday and fixed the heater hose issue. Started it up with no leaks on the hoses. However, the rad has a leak in the fins, so I need to get that fixed.

also, you may have read/heard I was selling this. My kids were crying yesterday about me selling it, so I decided to keep it along with the goodies I have for it.

Good news!

thanks TJ, yea they are happy to say the least. Im fine with it. In short, I am going to remove the AC and weld up the top. anyone got a roof section they want to cut up? I know I spoke to someone about this, lambcrusher perhaps?

Just a heads up, I've decided to sell my pig. Just too many vehicles and projects. I haven't set a price yet. If you know someone looking, let me know and we can go from there. To refresh people's memory, it has 49K original miles and I am the second owner.

Yea I know, sad but the fact is, I can't keep them all. I have WAY too many personal cruisers (3 x 40s, 62, 80, and 100) and it would be better making someone smile than just sit under a tree.

Officially sold her yesterday. Word of mouth deal. It will get some body and paint work done and a mild build from what it appears. New owner also got my brand new uninstalled IPOR front bumper (NLA) and extensions. While I am a little sad, it was just sitting there. Better to have it go to someone who will giver her the attention she deserves; and I have too many cruisers/cruiser projects, so the herd is thinning.

Guess it's being sold on eBay now by someone. The ad is not completely accurate which is a little upsetting.
