Ugh! minute of silence please. A rare bird for sure, but the owner did not seem to know what had in his hands. Shame to buy this brand new, knowing it would live in rust country and not throwing a decent underbody coating/protection. Sale price $125k. BAT fee and shipping say $7k. In it for $132k. If he gets ask he profits $18k not including any bogus fees or there’s a finance kickback of some kind. Not a bad racket.We all know 200's have been stubborn with depreciation but market manipulation has definitely played a part in that. I still think the market would be strong on these if "regular joe's" were buying them instead of dealership owners but I'd wager prices would be in the low 100k range and back down into the 80-90's on higher mileage examples. Certainly not $130k followed by slapping another $20k on top.
what's wild to me. anyone willing to pay a massive premium for a Land Cruiser, is someone who's an enthusiast and knows about them and why they cost so much. That person would A. know about BAT and B. know you should run the VIN over even a quick google search before buying any used car, especially an enthusiast and very high priced LC 200. Who are these complete retards buying flipped from BAT HE land cruisers? Love to meet them and sell them mine for just $15k over what i paid.
Man, I 110% agree with you. I would not like to be on the hunt for a 2016 and up 200 right now. There is one dealership out of Houston and he is the first one in every one of these BAT auctions.
