Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Good advice.

$60k feels right to me - you could probably even get if for $55k-$60k depending on how motivated the seller is.

If the accident happened with the first owner and the second owner has been driving it without issue then it's less concerning. But even still, considering it's local, I'd take a close look and make sure all panels are aligned, that all of the front sensors work properly and that all cameras are functional.

Biggest concern with these fender benders is what "extracurriculars" happen at the shop when everything is getting fixed...
I appreciate your insight as well. I definitely need to examine it closely as the current owner doesn't know the exact history either with the accident. I'm hopeful it works out but will be cautious. If I can get it for less than $60, I'd be thrilled.

I appreciate the insight. That's what I had in mind as well, considering I have been waiting for this one at CarMax to become available but that's low odds of actually getting it reserved. https://www.carmax.com/car/28294930
I see you are in Auburn. I bought my Excursion in Loomis so my test drive took me all through Auburn and the surrounding area. Absolutely gorgeous!

If you can get that one at Carmax, jump on it. You have to call them and they will put a hold on it for you so when it comes in they call you. Do it. It really is a solid buy.

I really like this one as it's local to me

Personally I think this is huge. These cars are not exactly super common. If this one is local you and you like it on its face then you can go paw it over, get underneath and check for any nonsense, drive it hard and see if you actually like it, make sure that every little last thing is working (HVAC door? ;)), etc. And best of all you can do a simple deal with its owner and avoid all manner of dealership nonsense. That's all worth a sizable premium IMO, but I think mail-ordering cars is dumb.

Sure, as others have mentioned do your due diligence on the accident, check it out, have it checked out, whatever. But beyond that if you really like the car the asking price is not unreasonable, so offer somewhat less and make a deal. Would be unfortunate to miss a great car over a couple grand. IMO.

Also that car looks beautiful in the photos. Hopefully inside, underside and engine are as clean. Good luck!

After a snub on a realistic offer for a LX570 for sale here (seriously...it's no big deal)... I went back to the drawing board and found a 2018 LX570 with 150k fleet/dealer maintained miles. Dark Grey with Black interior for 35,500 shipped. ALL needed work is typically addresses on Fleet maintained vehicles boys/girls. You won't see a bunch of notes in the owners history saying, "owner declined service" until the very last notes. Not the right color interior but I already sourced the replacement leather to color change and have a buyer on the current kit so win/win!

2021 HE dealer maintained every 5k, 46k miles, I paid 86k last week. Needed tires, otherwise looked brand new.

After dipping my toes into the mud forums years ago to try to get into a 100 series during maybe the worst time to buy one ever (ended up getting a first gen double cab Tundra for my 4x4 needs that I hope the spousal unit lets me keep forever), I'm slowly starting to look for 200 series trucks. Going to be on the lookout for a bit of a project as we do not commute by car and this is not a primary vehicle.

Anyway, aiming for a purchase next fall but virtual tire kicking is a hobby. I saw this thing pop up the other day and the (all dealer) maintenance history is FANTASTIC, reads like a 1 owner truck. Miles a bit high for some I reckon but, having driven my definitely abused by prior owners truck over the 200k threshold, I am assuming that's "just a number" if taken care of. If you're ready to buy, you should probably inquire (and report back!):

A lot of Ohio/Kentucky history (rust-belt), no service-history prior to 90k miles. I would definitely want undercarriage photos for anyone considering.

Also, the parchment interior really doesn't age as well as the black/gray.

2015 LX570 w/129k miles for $34k before taxes. One owner no accidents. How did I do?
That’s pretty a pretty fair price. Especially if good condition. These are harder and harder to find under 150k miles.

May indeed be rusty underneath, but the service history goes back to 5 miles on the odo in Lexus/Toyota service history! Including gems like this, which I think identify the owner as a fellow autist:

Good chance that such an owner took some steps to prevent the underside from rusting apart.

I always told my co-worker that if he ever sells his wife's 2016 to let me know, well that day has come. They bought it new, so one owner. Soccer mom LC if ever there was one. 115k miles local southern car always garaged, maintained locally, etc. etc. they are asking $45k, which seems on the high side to me, but maybe not. What do ya'll think? I am going to check it out and let them know tonight...

2016, 1 owner, 115K miles, white/red for 45,000 seems solid...
