Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Well after looking her over really well, she seems to be a very solid rig and exceptionally clean. My wife has a 2016 we bought in 2017 with 30k on the clock, and for some reason this one seems to drive even better than my wife's. All service records from local dealer or well respected shop locally, headphones are still in plastic, docs, book, and they even have the window sticker. So I bought her on the spot. I got a fresh service, filters and detail - so maybe all in that is worth $500, but paid $45k. I was so smitten, this was the first time in all of my years that I didn't even haggle on the price. Is it weird that my wife and I both now drive white 2016 LC? Only difference is the color of leather.

Dual LC200 household. Ultimate power couple.

Ugh, that guy is a douche canoe. He will sell it in the next 3-6 months. His whole schtick is flipping cars. I don’t see how his channel can be profitable with all the depreciation.

I also might be personally jaded as he sniped a low mileage HE from me back when I first started shopping for one a couple years ago. There was a Toyota dealer in Del Rio, Tx that had a black HE with delivery miles (less than 100) priced in the low 100’s. Although the idiot salesman I contacted was partly to blame for me losing out on that one.

I didn’t go back to find the posts but someone called it.. the YouTuber flipped the low milage HE.

@Specialeyes you were right.

To be fair I think anyone who knows anything was going after that HE simply because it was priced too low. Didn't matter if you needed it or not. There was easy money to be made.

Did the douche canoe YTuber sell for more than what he paid? I think he disclosed paying around $100k all in. I'd be very surprised if these "call for price" dudes at RMR paid him more than that.

How much are they asking for it now ?
"Call for price" and lose a couple minutes of your life. 😅

Yep! So right.

$139K is what I heard :)
Not surprised.

I could inquire but they’re probably tired of me calling and not buying anything. Would save lots of folks the trouble if they would just post the dang price. How hard is that?

Edit to add: There’s one for sale in Oregon right now with another 27k on the odometer. Asking $105k. Why on earth someone would drop another $35k for that bit of mileage is beyond me. (Assuming the condition of both trucks are equal of course)

It's all a matter of degree I guess. And enthusiasm.

You can get a SoCal/Southwest/Southeast 2021 base with that mileage in the low 80s. Why anyone would pay 30% more for the HE boggles my mind, but I get that people will do it.

Similarly some people are willing to spend G Wagon money on a virgin example. Again, doesn't make sense to me but those people certainly exist.

True. I’ve offered some big money before on a couple of BaT listings but it was never enough to win out. I’ll be listing mine soon and while it’s no cream puff I certainly hope a couple people get into a bid war. Being on the other side of the fence I’ll happily take the money and run.

Switching to a 250? 😛
I was strongly considering one but no, not at this time. I'm running a two horse stable. Eyeing a new Tacoma and just ordered a new Volvo V60 CC wagon. The proceeds from the 200 should just about cover the cost for both. I may pick up another cruiser one of these days. Amazon Green 200... mint 80 or 60... maybe a 300/LX once a facelift comes around?

I remember when heritage edition was released and everyone on this site was upset that Toyota released such a boring edition. They were selling for under msrp.

Turns out Toyota knew what they were doing.
Same thing for some GX460s like the 22-23 Nori Green Pearl Blackline Editions; Lexus would give you deals on them when they were new, but now low mile versions are almost impossible to find and usually sell for more than they did new.

Toyota really does know how to give some of these "special editions" lasting appeal.
