So does that mean you're still coming this weekend to crash the Heep party :) ???

We talked about it yesterday and we're probably just going to come up for the day on Saturday. We'll get there at like 9 or 10am on Saturday, wheel all day, then motor home at the end of the day. If we get my truck fixed by then, we'll both be taking it. If not, we'll both be taking Kenny's, so either way, we'll be there.

O The hole in the driver's floorboard literally flings water on my left pant leg when it rains.

There is a factory hole there that has a rubber plug. Yours is just bigger now.

Rig is coming out siiiiiiick. Crush that rust!

Thanks buddy! I have an update about it later tonight.

I saw it for a second when I pulled the carpet out, but it was promptly sucked up, along with some big flakes of rust, when I was vacuuming the interior out.

How to loose 5 lbs of mud and rot in 4 easy steps!

First step, neglect your frame until it collapses on itself.

Next, cut off the spring hanger and a large, rotten section of the frame. Remove all mud.

Weld in an internal support ( angle iron ) after you realize that the other side has rusted through as well:doh:

Weld on the outer plate and finally the spring hanger.

And you're done! It's solid, for sure, but the frame needs to be replaced. That will be Moonshine's next big project.

Yuck.

Send a PM to Orangefj45, he had a perfect FJ62 frame/body. Shipping back East might be a killer, though.

Actually D'Animal might have one too.

When I get one I only want the frame. My body is going to get beaten up by rocks / trees anyway, so why bother swap it out.

Rust free frames only seem to exist on the west coast. Every once in a while I find one here but they are few and far between. Either way, my bank account is completely empty, so the frame swap will have to wait until next summer, unless some ridiculous deal falls in my lap. Then again that's how the SOA happened, so who knows.

It took me forever before I figured out that squeaking noise was air leaking out of the tires,. Weirdest noise ever. The CO2 will definitely help with that, but beadlocks would be better.

I have your beadlocks when you are ready !:D

Don't waste your time on replacing the frame on this truck. Buy a new set up or like Drew said a solid body frame and do a drivetrain swap.

Looks like a fun trip!

You never sold those 'locks? Damn. How much you looking for?? DAMN YOU!!!:lol:

If I do a drivetrain swap then it won't be Moonshine anymore.

Thanks man! Hey I've got a question for you. When you wheel with your 15x10" rims, what PSI do you run in your tires? You've got 35x10.50" tires right?

yeah, have fun with that...

You didn't have fun doing yours?

Went wheeling yesterday to a park really close to home. It's pretty new so there weren't many trails, and all the trails there were strictly mud. Due to the massive amount of rain we've had in the past month and my sand tires, I got stuck a couple of times. Really embarrassing when you've got one of your friends with you, going through everything pretty much without a problem, in a stock Rubicon with cheap mud tires:mad::mad:

Actually it started on the tail light. Busted it on a tree at CMCC. The window tape came when I locked my keys in the truck twice in one day:doh:

Thanks Austin! Mud hole is in Corinth, KY, so if you're willing to make the quick trip down I have an extra room in my house

I'll be back in the area for the 1st week of September. Wanna catch lunch and a few beers somewhere?
