For those in the market for a used LC200/LX570 (like myself), I figured I'd post the research I've done on model year differences. I'd appreciate the community's help correcting mistakes and filling in missing info. All data is for US-spec vehicles.

This is the only other model year difference thread I found - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/main-model-year-changes-2008-2014-200-series-and-lx.785905/

PS - Anyone know how to create/format tables on this forum software? I finally gave up and posted these images because HTML and BBCode tables don't seem to work…

cluster info display enlarged on the 2014 LC?!?!? didn't know that...

Hmm…and I don't seem to be able to edit my original post to put in a correction.

Don't know about prior gasoline octane requirements, but on my '15, 87 is minimum & OK per the owners manual.

Maybe reduced power v premium gas, but this is no Hothonda ha ha!

Thanks for the links.....my priorities are out of whack when it comes to fuel prices.

Whenever possible I purchase my gas at Costco (Top Tier rated FWIW), anyway it is my belief , here in the Pacific NW, Costco keeps
the rip off stations somewhat honest - otherwise how would you really know?

Thank you for doing this. I was just wanting to know this information for future purchase. Is there a consensus on what year to buy if you dont get brand new. Meaning it is worth getting a '13 over 11'. Sometimes you should just buy certain years and up due. Thanks

I'm also shopping for a 200. That's a personal decision. I, personally, don't believe the premium between, say, an '08 and an '11 is worth the few extra features. An '08 to a' 13 is a much larger difference, as noted above. I'm on the fence whether it's worth that jump in price. The 15k-20k difference between a '08 and a '13 is another investment property for me, or a ton of mods on the '08. Again, personal decision.

The only real "mechanical"(if ya want to consider them that) differences I can think of for the 13+ are the two speeds added to "crawl mode" and the "turn assist". I personal think the 08-11 look a bit better! The camera's and other bells and whistles in the 13+ are nice but not "must haves" IMO. If ya find a great 08-11 grab it, if the money is right on a 13+ the extra's come in handy at times... Just my 2 cents!

For the benefit of anyone who finds this thread in the future, here are the Toyota product sheets for the 08-17 LC from the Toyota pressroom website.

If this is not yet in the FAQs, it would make a nice addition @Romer ?

Thank you all for this info, very helpful.

Anyone know if there are any differences in safety equipment in the LX as compared to the LC or did they add it at the same time? Example did the LX have lane departure warning or pre collision monitors first?

Anyone have any info or links on iihs crash testing differences for different years?

LX had the avoidance options in 2013, but wasn't common. It seemed to be a 'standard' option in 2014 forward.

Just started shopping for a 200.

Looks like the big breaks are 2013 and 2016? Can anyone confirm if this is correct and what were the major improvements made in those years?

Looking at the chart above I'm not sure I understand why it seems those are the desirable years.

Thanks!

Yes, 16+ is the way to go ;)

The ONLY reason to get a 13+ is cooled seats... :)
