The Mississippi Delta Beast is now in the Delta where it will hopefully live a full happy life with its new owner.

When I fired it up to pull it out of the shop this AM, the battery was weak but it started. I'm not sure if I left the key on from messing with the wiring or not.

I bought a brand new battery yesterday for my Pig so I tossed it in.

May be the alternator Though. I sure will hate it if I didnt swap out a $60 part.

Hope it's just the key being left on.

I tossed my jump pack into the glove box with a couple issues of Toyota Trails in case the alternator is the culprit.

You did a mighty fine job with this rig... makes me wish I could've bought one from you - a Toyota man! I really liked the fella that sold me mine with one gripe... although he was a mechanic/body man and had a nice garage, he was clearly a GM guy (some modifications of his proved first love!!!)

Your buyer will no doubt appreciate what you've done with this cruiser

I have a new perspective on the coolness of patina. Keeps the past journey with the truck. Mechanicals are consumable and should be fixed. Was comtemplating a frame off on my 40. Not any more. Another mud member said it well. It is awesome to see a cruiser that has been ridden hard and put away wet. We get carried away with perfection. Teaching my kids that a banana with a black spot is still a damn good fruit. Eat and enjoy the damn thing. You are an inspiration Sir. The pill box remains closed.

Preach on brother.

This is what resides under the hood of Project Patina.

After a nice shake-down run this weekend, the Delta Beast is going into phase 2 operative care.

This time with the boys at 49 Tire. @wct49 took delivery today for the following

Mini Truck Power Steering from @orangefj45 W/new tie rod ends

OME light suspension

Weather Stripping

Can't wait to drive it after this round of upgrades.

@wngrog killed it with this project. I could not be more pleased with how it has turned out. Took the Beast for its first voyage in the Mississippi Delta for opening weekend of dove season. Did not disappoint. Thank you @wngrog for the 3 pack of unused Trojans left in the story, as Nolan says..."it stays". The Viagra key chain also..."it stays".

I took the Beast through our duck holes, fishing, and to check on some of our land. She never skipped a beat. Took her to dinner at the Infamous "Crystal" restaurant in town (Greenwood, MS) for dinner....only to find 3 people walking around peering into the windows when I came outside. I have been asked 100 times if I plan to paint her, the answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT.... "it stays". Another cruiser saved from the ruins to live a long life as is and keeping it all original.

@wct49 has the her now. Final touches and is in good hands. He also has a 97 collectors edition that I plan to bring to Atlanta for my daily driver. My daughter is turning 16 and wants my 40th Anniv. She doesn't even realize yet how cool she is to want and appreciate these vehicles.

Thank you all for the comments, assistance and for enjoying the process. Until we meet again....
