It is custom made by millhouse. My 1f air cleaner is also mod. If u look back in my thread u will see my old bracket that also works with a mod f air cleaner. Also thread show mods to air cleaner.

I think I'll to use other type of bracket. Is your pwr steering pump keyed or non keyed?, I it's non keyed, where did you find the pulley?

Thanks

Also believe it or not I finally got the doors painted. I could not get my gun to work. I think it is broken. So I brought them to a body shop to get them done. I also put in a set of quick release hinges that 69LC makes (https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/475347-take-apart-door-hinges.html). They are awesome and totally worth the money. Takes 2 minutes to change between half doors and full doors and that is including drinking time!! All in all I am real happy with how they turned out.

I also did find a set of seats I like. I am going to be getting them recovered and putting heaters in them. So stay tuned for that. Probably will be a winter project. Heading down to see Steve tomorrow then off hunting for a few month!

Hugh I have to admit... I really hate this new forum setup.. I can not log in at work since the update so my time here is very limited.

Here is my selfless plug for my new project.. www.ripcordholsters.com its very new at this point. I still have a lot of work to do, just trying to get everything up and running, figure out models, names, work on figuring out who my real customer base will be, and prices. Its been fun and tiring process.

:) don't worry I have not forgot about your stuff... just every time I get to starting it, someone calls and you get bumped again :) But I have a plan in place at least :)

Ya if their is snow at all on the ground I don't drive my cruiser. The salt is just to bad for the metal and their are too many nooks and crannies for it to hide on a 40. I save the winter for big projects on the rig so its all torn down anyway. I wouldn't do heated seats, I don't think its worth it. However cooled seats would be awesome for the summer. I know their are kits out their.

Somehow or another I stumbled onto this thread... It's a doozy.

First of all, love your 40 and the efforts you've put into it. She's a beaut!

Secondly, all the photos of hunting and snow and boating and nice workshops and barn-raising... Dang! I miss America.

Thirdly, I want to live in MN... If for no other reason than the outstanding Cruiser camaraderie.

Any cruiser updates?

thank you for the kind words. Not much been going on there regarding cruisers. We have had a few nice days this spring so I have been able the drive a few hundred miles, which is alot for me :)!

Just changed the oil, have put just under 5,000 miles on it since new, motor has just under 300 hours on it. waiting for the weather to get nice here! I cant wait to take the top off.

I did get a new top made out of a better material. I love it.

That is all for now.

upcoming but slowly. 1. new seats. 2. new oil pan 3. my front axle seals are already leaking. so next winter I will probably rebuild them again. not going to do anything but drive it this summer.

Half doors look great. Are you running the quick hinges on both sets of doors?

I am. I absolutely love them! I cant say enough with how easy it makes things and how well built they are! I am never going back :-)

This sounds like a perfect plan!

This is good to hear. The are spendy but everyone seems to love them.

I'll keep my eye on this thread for more beer, boating, hunting, barn-raising stories... and maybe some tech now and then. =)
