Nice pics and description. Hoping that you are hosting those somewhere nice so they will stick around for a long time!
I use iCloud and thumb drives. They charge me a buck a month for 50G which seems fair I guess...for now. I would imagine that will keep increasing in price. I have a lot on here, hoping this is a long term solution. I'm not sure how many pics I have of this 62 so far...500 or so...

Yeah I think I pay like $25/yr for my Flickr account and that hosts A LOT of different photos. Dont remember what the size limit is but I have sisht from years ago on there and I dont remember the price increasing in recent years. Hell, pretty sure I have close to 1k photos of just BeBe on there and have never had any issues with hosting and whatnot. You stuff is so detailed I wanted to be sure it stuck around for years to come, not be one of those threads that relies on photos a lot for description but the person hosted on photobucket or one of the other crapshoot hosters.

Exactly and for someone like me, I am a very visual learner so the pictures speak more to me than a few pages of text, regardless of how detailed.

Had a package delivered today...gotta love new parts. Now i just need some time away from the job that funds this madness so I can get back to progress. I'm itching to turn the key and see what happens.

wait, you got a job? do you sleep?

Kinda wish I was down in the Central Valley to take advantage of the mild weather. Hell it was below 40 before the sun went down tonight. Had all intentions of starting to pull the rad once things cooled down a bit. Then the sun went down and I froze just letting the dogs out to pee.

It's been pretty cool here lately. 46 tonight. This is the only reason I can work at night.

Got the tank back in, kind of a PITA. I left the passenger anti sway bracket on, made a pretty good shelf to rest the tank on.
Jumpered the +B and Fp pins on the diagnostic port, turned the key on and had a strong spray out of the union connector that hooks to the filter inlet.
What a relief that was. After all that wire repair and messing with the harnesses.

Been in the teens most the day the past couple days. Man will ya just fire her up already??

Buttoned up, fluids all topped off, fuel and spark verified...having a couple of beers and giving all things a final look over. My second set of hands will be back early AM...can't fire it up until they're here.

OK, read this whole thing from front to back only to find out you haven't fired it up yet

I have an 85 FJ60 that looks a whole lot like this rig. I really like white with the grey interior.

99% of people would not have had 1) the vision to see a diamond in the rough and 2) the OCD required to bring her back to life slowly and meticulously -- well done (I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, so to see how thorough you've been is awesome).

Gratuitous pic of my rig in the same color...

You can't see from the pic, but the gear shift goes 1-5 speed (have an H55 hiding under the tunnel) :D

That's a clean 60. Very nice. I put the H55 in mine back in March or so. Still have mixed feelings about the in town 1st and 2nd ratios. I'm running 32s. Did you keep the stock gearing with the 33s? Curious what gear you normally start out in daily driving and your thoughts.
80% of my education has been mechanical and electromechanical engineering. Most of my professional life has been electronics tech and electrical work. I think all of us addicts have that 'gotta figure out how it works' bug...that's why these machines are so appealing to work on.
