Well I guess this is the start of an install thread... I have in my hot little hands a brand new, fresh Marlin ToyBox for my H55 and split TC. It's going in my 1985 FJ60 (the H55/TC is currently installed...) This is planned as a mid-winter project so there won't be much progress for a while.

Next step for me is to collect up all the other little odds and ends I'll need:
Replace clutch? (while I'm at it... it's a Centerforce put in in 2000... maybe 90k miles on it, no slipping at all)
Replace rear main seal - YES

Marlin does such nice work!!!

Guys, I hear the term once in a while, but what is a toybox??? Maybe a stupid question, but I really don't know:o

A TOYota gearBOX (transfer case gear section from a Toyota Mini truck) added in between the existing transmission and transfer case. this adds optional low range options... it is a second transfer case.

I didnt think they made a toybox for the land crusier?
I see it is for the h42/h55 trans. is this a new product.?
Been around for years, I have one between my H42 and the Orion box.

Mine is a 2.48:1, I'm surprised the OP said only the 4.7:1 was available now.

4.7 is only available for the H55f 5 speed... the 2.48 is available for other trannys

the H55f flavor is relatively new in Marlin's history
