Hate to stick it to him if this is literally the only thing he will get to do with us. $35 would buy a tank of gas...

i cant speak for the UC but i dont think anyone will mind if he comes to the ride.

I sent him a PM too. Would like to know more about him and his rig. He does have a HJ45 and a FJ40 listed in his profile...just don't know if they are ready for the Cove or not.

Will make for some fun creek crossings

WOW...

I almost took a swim that day....I took a different line and hit a 5'+ deep hole.

teaser...

This was shot by another attendee (sk8salomon). I've got tons more footage and pics that will be posted later. Epic trip and some beautiful new scenery this time. Andy, Elbert and Jamie hunkered down Friday night as the rains moved in. We came in Saturday morning and the waters had risen since the first group went in, but the weather cleared up for a great day of wheeling. Some minor rain around 4pm didn't last long but made the trails a little tricky.

This was shot right near our campsite as we first made our way up trail.

Damn Rick that is awesome........ looks like the current was pushing you pretty good, were you pinching your seat pretty tight there :grinpimp:

Looking forward to the pics and story

Want to know how much water The Cove saw? Compare these before and after pics.

Actually this first shot was taken from a spot closer to the cave, which would have been about 20 ft underwater. You see those little saplings on top the rocks on the right? They are in the second photo just to the right of the mouth of the cave. It was pretty incredible.

Agreed. I bet that sucker filled up overnight too. Would have made for a really rude awakening!

~Would have made for a really rude awakening!
I think a better phrase may be "made for a really rude drowning". I think if you were in that cave and noticed water starting to run in the entrance due to the stream cresting that far, it'd probably already be too late to get out. Kinda gives me the creeps just thinking about that and how far I've been back in that cave and it's deeper "spur" caves. :skull:

I edited down all my Saturday video into a single 13min clip. Enjoy.

Yeah, I got a notice that they didn't like my soundtrack. It said some people might get blocked but they weren't going to take it down or penalize me. I'll have to work out a new soundtrack.
