I have done 100 in my pig but I live at 65-70. At 70 mph i am only doing 2k rpm. Switch backs take concentration. With no sways it shifts oddly as i come out of a turn.

I was going to put 80 radius arms on mine when I get bored. I cant imagine that is very expensive when sourced properly.

with what axle gears?

Most of these posted higher top speeds are from guys with overdrive transmissions and non-factory engines.

700r4 has OD around 0.76? I have 4.10s with 35s

Let's back away from the gun here and talk about what you want to do with this here Piggie.

35's are easily possible with a SUA

SOA makes them ride great but makes them even more tippy than they already are with stock axles.

Agree with above. Send back. Get refund

This is a 5" Alcan setup I did. I'll see if I can pull up the old thread on Pirate. Long story short. They were rough as hell and I had to fix them (de arch) due to similar shackle angles.

I would call @cruiseroutfit and talk to Kurt (after Expo West) and tell him what you want. I bet a Heavy/Heavy OME would work for you.

Solid advice.

@Brycec are you happy with the fronts?

Assuming you are then the @cruiseroutfit rear springs will definitely work with 35” tires as shipped and other than drilling a few holes they are a direct bolt in.

This would get you going with the least amount hassle and expense, just ship the faulty rear Man springs back and have Kurt ship you a set of his OME springs.

Jmack, that sounds good, but I must be missing something, the last time I talked to Kurt he doesn't make a 4" spring. And what am I drilling? The front is good yes I even thought about redrilling my spring plates to fit the alignment pin. Just don't know if that would have any negative effects on anything

Ok so atlas springs had me measure my stock rear springs and i got 24 1/2" from each eye to center pin. The one they made is 23 7/16" so obvious difference. Does anyone have a stock rear spring they could get a measurement for me to compare?

Ok @Brycec lets do ourselves a favor for a minute and lets just measure frame height and forget what the lift over stock the manufactures claim.

My pig is loaded with all my camping gear and 50 gallons of fuel ready to leave on a camping trip in the morning but these are my measurements as of right now sitting on level ground and 35” tires and @cruiseroutfit OME rear springs just as they ship them and modified @cruiseroutfit front OME springs. I’m measuring to the flat section of the bottom of the frame just inside of the bumper both front and back.

Front is 24.5”

Back is 24”

I believe the back comes up to closer to level without all my junk packed in there and I will get you another measurement if we’re in the ballpark of you front.

The @cruiseroutfit OME 55 rear springs are 5” longer than your factory 55 rear springs and you only need to remove a few rivets in your factory rear hanger and relocate it 5” back, this not only gives you the lift needed to clear 35” tires but the longer springs ride better.

Are you measuring from the eye to the top or bottom of your center pin? My old springs measure 42 1/2" eye to eye and around 23" eye to top of center pin. The old set up was a shackle lift with stock springs. It was a terrible ride. I switched to the OME's from Kurt as well. You won't be disappointed with the set up.

Call Kurt. Problem solved. :)

Ha that’s the problem, Kurt is too honest.

Cliffs notes for those just tuning in,

Kurt @cruiseroutfit has a complete fj55 kit that that has been used several times by MUDD members with good results but higher than advertised lift (about 3.5” in my case) but because of Kurt’s integrity he only passes along info confirmed from the manufacture of the springs (2.5” lift) and lost the sale.

BTB products appears to have found some springs on a pallet that didn’t fit a 40 or 60 and assumed they must fit a 55 then and told @Brycec exactly what he wanted to hear on the phone (4”lift) and after two try’s Brycec 55 is still not drivable but BTB made the sale.

I’m headed out to Craters of the Moon for a few days of camping, I hope you get this worked out before I get back Brycec and I can tune back into you enjoying your pig. Good luck!

Thanks guys for all the input, I realise that it sounds like I'm stuck on 4" lift specifically, I'm not, I'm saying 4" inch as a reference. But I am running 35s, and to be honest when someone says 21/2" lift I say why. I just as much as the next guy like the big beefy look of a bigger lift. I am still working with atlas springs on the issue, but if it can't be resolved then It will all be going back to manacrap. And I will move on

I'll tell you this. My 700-15's on my 40 are unreal. It steers good. Drives good. Has power. It's kind of amazing what a "stock" Cruiser feels like. Out of the 20 or so I've owned I've never kept any stock.

(Sorry for the derail)

Ok guys, manefre and btb com disappear ad far as I am concerned, and Brian the owner is a complete cockroach. That being said atlas springs is amazing l, great product and completely stand behind their product. They are paying to get springs back and are building me a new set. Here's the really wierd thing is my springs measure out to be the same as hj45 rear springs. But everything is factory so go figure. Atlas Springs, speak to fernando. Atlas Springs speak to fernando. Atlas Springs speak to fernando and yes they sale directly
