Wiring future problem??

I decided to remove the air box and lift the AC lines over the it to try and support it more, since as Moby pointed out the AC line is pulling away from the firewall. Is there a support that should hold it in place along the fender or near the firewall?

Also while the air box is out I noticed a potential problem with the wiring from the battery. What do you all think, worth redoing? If so what do I need?

God yes it's worth redoing. That's the fusible link(s) and it/they appear to have been halfway repaired. If the actual fusible link part of the wiring has been replaced with plain wire, that's a big fire hazard if something were to short out.

X2. New fusible links aren't expensive. FIX THAT s*** ASAP!

Do the lfusable links go between the battery and the gray connection or is that gray connection not even suppose to be there? I tried to find a diagram from SOR on the wiring but I couldn't find anything.

There's several detailed pics of FL's here on mud. We just have to dig one up.
As far as replacing them, the actual FL wire is avail. in bulk roll form in various sizes. It's just the matter of proper connections, and losing the trick quick replacement ability from using the stock Toy stuff.
 
For future searches, and if you were gonna go this route, here's bulk fusible link. It's sized by cross section in mm.

Your Toyota dealer can get it for you for $12.52. No SORe shipping. Google fusible link.
 
The 1st pic of mine above is generic bulk FL wire. You'd use that to rig up a replacement without using OEM.

The OEM stuff is FL wire already with proper connectors (the big gray ones in all the pics) and a terminal on the battery side. It's a plug and play replacement. Generally, you want the OEM part.

Or is the critical size consideration the cross section?
 
Trans line support

Sorry to be a PITA guys but I have another question. What is this plate next to the oil filter housing?

Does part 911 happen to bolt up to it to hold up the trans lines? I'm missing the part at this time but looking at the diagram and where the bolt hole is in part 065 they seem like they would line up. If not where and how is part 911 attached?

Again, OEM is the way to go, but if yer a stubborn tinkerer like me, then here goes:

First let's get from metric to awg. ( the FL is sized in metric as you see in my pics)

SQ mm to AWG
0.8 = 18
1.0 = 16
2.0 = 14
3.0 = 12

Next, use the the rule of sizing fusible link 4 awg smaller than the wire it's protecting for a proper weak spot. That's assuming the wire is sized appropriately for the circuit it feeds. Thus:

FL in awg for wire in awg
18g = 14g
16g = 12g
14g = 10g
12g = 8g

Use at least 4" length, 6" is preferrred for each length of FL. Properly solder and crimp, and don't even think of using crimpless connectors.
